Know Thy Enemy To Be Able To Defeat Him/Her - Peter Lemkin - 02-10-2009 Some good Ammo, if you know how to 'load, lock and when to gently squeeze off a round' here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Logical_fallacies (Rhetorical and 'logical' tricks often used in debates on internet and elsewhere.) Know Thy Enemy To Be Able To Defeat Him/Her - Ed Jewett - 02-10-2009 Thanks for that stuff on logical fallacies. My experience is that using that as "ammo" is more akin to firing blanks... they continue to do it anyway, and accuse their opponents of doing it, and just bury the world with their continued obfuscation. Instead of shoveling, we must build a snow fence. Elsewhere, I am about to quote the august Mr. Drago; I am beginning to think he is right... that we are wasting our time. “No more "debate" on questions long answered. No more collegiality to the enemy. We hold the moral and historical high ground.” We must re-configure our own thinking, re-double our efforts, consider what the proven effective means of packaging and presenting are, and the use them as frequently and widely as possible. |
