‘Flight plans’ Could Spark New Cuban Missile Crisis - Peter Presland - 02-02-2010 This piece is lifted from Izvestia. Maybe kite flying but it's certainly yet another sign of Russia's more than justified anger at the ever more brazen encroachments of US/NATO military installations right on its own borders. Russia Today has also taken it up and their 2 minute video report is also viewable at the link. Reported US response is wholly predictable and utterly sickening in its hypocricy. The US it seems has 'defence red-lines' - but God help anyone else who suggests they might have them too or worse, shows signs of doing something about it when they are crossed. Quote:An unidentified source in the Russian military says Moscow could be ready to resume strategic bomber flights over the Caribbean. It’s claimed the long-range aircraft could refuel at a Cuban aerodrome. The U.S. military has hinted that such a step would cross its ‘red line’ of defence. ‘Flight plans’ Could Spark New Cuban Missile Crisis - Magda Hassan - 02-02-2010 Well, it has quite a bit of support amongst the locals as a deterrent to the US plans to recolonize. It is also giving the US a bit of a taste of their own medicine vis a vis the missile encirclement of Russian. Russia have signed up for the oil in the Cuban territorial waters just recently also. :playingball: The theater is quite illuminating. ‘Flight plans’ Could Spark New Cuban Missile Crisis - Ed Jewett - 02-02-2010 And naval war games are now underway in the Pacific, and Iran is being ringed with Patriot missiles, and whatever is going down in Pakistan/India, and China is pounding its kitchen table about Obama meeting with the Dalai Lama and arms deals with Taiwan, and Chavez has more heavy crude than Saudi Arabia, and earthquakes are happening in China... and... and film at 11. Stay tuned for the exciting conclusion, right after this message. :eating: |
