I agree. Robert's photos of "Lee" and "Harvey" are further evidence that they are two different people.
I am not yet sure what makes Lifton an expert on LHO. He's been allegedly working on a book for decades now but there's the book? Of course I read that it took him something like seventeen years to do Best Evidence.
I can believe Judyth had good reason to distrust him. Back in the early 80's after having read Best Evidence I was discussing this with my friend Carl Oglesby. Carl told me he believed Lifton had held back crucial information from the HSCA so that he could save it for his book. To this end I wrote Lifton a letter. I rememded him that we had met in the late 70's at a party given by Norman Mailer. I also told him that I had a legal idea for the case involving either June or Rachel Oswald (Porter). He immediately called me demanding to know who said he'd had withheld evidence, and I told him. Then he responded to my letter making very light of my legal idea, telling me his experiences with the Oswald girls. In 1988 I obtained June's number and address and called her. She was not interested. Said she had been burned by another researcher. In 1995 I learned that Rachel was working here in Austin, as a witress at the Tx. Chile Parlor. So I wrote her a long documented letter and delivered it to her job. I was told she had just left that employ about three days earlier and that the letter would be passed along. At this point she had a listed phone number also, so I called her and left a message. Around this time I told my good friend Austin researcher Richard Bartholomew of my efforts to contact Rachel. RB informed me that Rachel had once met with Lifton and gave him an "off the record" interview, based on his promise that it would be confidential. Lifton, Richard told me, later sold the interview to Hard Copy. (I have seen it).
I never did hear back from Rachel and within days the number was disconnected. I have since read that Rachel now will no longer trust JFK assassination researchers because of what happened to her with Lifton.
Two important witnesses who could assist in a court case. Yes they were too young to be fact witnesses but as dautghters of the man framed and murdered they both have legal standing to challenge the cover story.
Lifton single handedly- for a friggen television monetary FEE- destroyed the trust Rachel had extended to him. I would not trust him for a second on anything Judyth or JFK assassination related. I question his motives, his values, and wonder who pays his bills. It's clear his word is worthless. Just ask Rachel. Good luck getting her to talk.

Thanks, Bernice...but IF the two men pictured are the same person,
it cannot be Sorrels. Sorrels was in the lead car and continued on
to Parkland. The man in the dark glasses is in the plaza in the
immediate aftermath, in a photo where Brehm and Tague are
seen. Brehm is being interviewed by Darnell, as I recall.
I think the two men are identical, so if Sorrels is at Parkland, he
cannot be in the plaza.
I have searched without success for a photo of Sorrels.

[Sorrels passed away 11/6/93]
During interviews conducted on 1/28/92 and 9/27/92 respectively, the
author contacted the 90 year-old former agent, who refused to discuss
the matter - Sorrels would only say "The Warren Report stands".
- Sorrels had led President Roosevelt over almost the same route as
Kennedy took on 11/22/63, the crucial difference being the hazardous
Elm Street turn.(13 H 55-83)
- Although Sorrels told the FBI that he "remained at (Parkland) hospital
until the President's body was taken to Love Field," this was not true -
still photos reveal that the agent made his way back to Dealey Plaza!(CD
735 page 12; William Allen photos; see also 7 H 347) Once back at the
murder scene, Sorrels went to work
7 H 332 - 360)a. finding two star government witnesses who claimed to have seen
gunfire from the "Oswald" window;(7 H 349)
b. making Texas Book Depository supervisor Roy Truly draw up an employee
manifest, only to "discover" that Oswald was supposedly the only
employee missing (not true - several were absent);
c. finding the elusive Abraham Zapruder and taking the man on a
convoluted journey to get his important film developed.(7 H 352)
- All this from an agent who claimed that the shots came from the grassy
knoll, while stating that he "never heard anything" about the Book
Depository on the police broadcasts!("Conspiracy" by Anthony Summers,
page 23; 7 H 347) (Interestingly, when Sorrels told the Warren
Commission about finding a witness who saw both a stalled truck on Elm
Street and a man who appeared to have a guncase shortly before the
shooting, the Commission apparently did not give this testimony much
merit - it is mentioned nowhere in their report);(7 H 351 - 352)

I used to have additional proof of this, aside from my own personal experience and what Richard told me. There was an article and a friend of hers or possibly even June, I forget which, but the article said, in part that Rachel had stopped trusting researchers after one sold her confidential story to Hard Copy. (I will have to ask RB his source for this). I probably still have the article around someplace, I have literally boxes and file cabinets devoted to this case and unfortunately not all things are properly labled in the proper file. I do have my letter from Lifton poo pooing and wasting any time speaking with the Oswald daughter's, it is in his book (I find this the best way to keep certain correspondance is just to put it in a book, if any if said correspondance is with an author). My then office (now guest room) had a flood in late 96 and I had to throw away a lot of things so the article may have been in one of those boxes, as I do not recall seeing any of it in years now. So this was all from memory, and my own personal experiences.
