The key is SPEED READING. I have two reading speeds...fast for getting the gist of something, and slow for complete comprehension. Going fast, I read the entire paragraph in about 3 seconds. Slow (normal) it was harder.

Doing speed reading involves quickly scanning words and phrases from top to bottom instead of side to side. Exact spelling does not matter as long as the letters are correct and words the right length. Nouns and verbs are important but other words can be ignored.

Jack

PS. length of lines is important to speed reading:

Is anyone else familiar with what in American folk history is referred to as Carny Talk?

This variation on "Pig Latin" allegedly was developed by itinerant carnival workers/circus roustabouts for the same reasons that all pseudo-secret languages are developed.

Carny Talk is meant for verbal use and doesn't translate well onto the written page.

Here is my best attempt at writing what is meant to be spoken.
