In the United Kingdom of Great Britain, it has long been a tradition that Friday is POETS day. POETS being "Piss Off Early Tomorrow's Saturday".
And so for those who work, as I once upon a time did (honest!), enjoy it:

There also used to be "City hours" - work hours beginning 10-00 a.m., until Noon, and then 3-00 p.m., until 5-oo pm (and then back down the Pub to finish what you started at Noon). Most civilized, but alas, long since gone.
