Fragmentation of the 911 Truth Movement - Jeffrey Orling - 13-02-2011

I would assert that we are witnessing the fragmentation of the 9/11 Truth movement. While it never was cohesive with a single leader such as MLK appeared to be in the civil rights movement, there was a core group of researchers who had produced and published research, stood up web sites, distributed DVDs and YouTubes, wrote books and conducted lectures on the subject.

I have been a consumer of this output and this along with the mainstream media accounts is all any of us who weren't actually there at the time can use to understand 9/11.

In addition to the core group of 9/11 truth advocates where were many persons who advanced their own hypothesis and produced their own research which they offered in support. The more exotic theories were often discounted and ridiculed.

As we approach the 10th anniversary of 9/11 we are witnessing whatever cohesiveness that existed as factions are forming to discredit the research of even the most trusted "thinkers". It appears that the solid foundation of 9/11 research is more like quicksand.

A chart of the conflicts and affiliations would be interesting and this is not your top down corporate organ chart, but more like this:

http://news.muckety.com/

which is three dimensional and holographic.

What we do see that rather than coming together in anything like we saw in Tahrir Square... the wheels are coming off and this bus may not make it to the depot in one piece by the time 9/11/11 some around.

Any thoughts on this and the timing?

Fragmentation of the 911 Truth Movement - Ed Jewett - 13-02-2011

Are you suggesting that a "muckety"-type 3-D map be composed or created that charts the forces, factors, theories, influences inside the 9/11 "truth" world? If so, have at it. And everyone else can create their own for comparison and discussion.

This is similar to what has been proposed with concept mapping. There are many related and similar software programs; I'm not "married" to any of them. Indeed, the simplest of generic "mind maps" will work when joined with clear explanation.

I would join in but my energies are diverted for the time being.

Fragmentation of the 911 Truth Movement - Jack White - 13-02-2011

It is ironic that Orling complains of the division of the "911 truth movement"
when he is one of the "splitters".

He wants a cohesive truth campaign only if HE can be the leader of it.

I don't see JO putting himself forward there Jack. Just talking about the movement as a whole and some observations. I don't think it is useful to talk for others as we can never be inside their head or heart to know for sure.

Jack,

I don't want to disappoint you, but I have no interest in being a leader of any movement.

Fragmentation of the 911 Truth Movement - Shelton Lankford - 14-02-2011

What I see is an internal kerfuffle, deliberately fomented and propagated by a group of pretty divisive individuals, some of whom run 9/11 Blogger and the rest of whom have apparently become bored with working in their own areas of expertise and have decided to have a go at discrediting a very hard-working and effective research team who are well-respected by those who have become closely acquainted with their work. Whether intentional or not, the fomenters are doing Cass Sunstein's work.

I did not respect those who fomented the attempts to discredit CIT before they launched this attack. It's not the first time they have attacked other researchers. Pilots for 911 truth have been previous targets. I still respect the other research groups. Those who are influenced by that lineup deserve the eventual embarrassment they will suffer for it.

Thanks, Shelton. A thoughtful comment.
