Senator Mark Dayton asks brave questions about 9/11, then reconsiders career.. - Anthony Thorne - 10-07-2011

I came across the following videos (others may have seen them already) and found them to be fairly revealing. The info featured in the first can be found in the various books and articles by David Ray Griffin, but seeing the actual footage for oneself is illuminating. This first video goes for about 40 minutes and shows Senator Mark Dayton repeatedly questioning NORAD, Rumsfeld and various authorities in hearings over 4 or 5 different sessions following 9/11.

Dayton evidently doesn't believe the official story and (especially as the video goes on) seems to suspect that something is fishy. The vibes and body language given off by Kean/Hamilton and the congregated Republicans as Dayton asks his questions are something to see - Kean and Hamilton in particular seem to bristle with contempt. Zelikow pops up to blankly (non)explain the E4B doomsday plane circling over Washington at the time of the attack, wriggling around questions with what appear to be practiced non-answers. The video also features the moment where Rumsfeld and Myers suggest that NORAD didn't track the hijacked planes on the day as all the radars were facing outwards, not inwards. There's a brutal nonchalance to Rumsfeld and Myers as they sit and listen to Dayton, both of them obviously knowing without a shred of doubt that Dayton will never get anywhere with his enquiries. The whole video is a study of ranks closing and the power of establishment incredulity at anyone looking askance at the official story.

Then a follow-up video, much shorter. FIXING AMERICA author John Buchanan notes at a signing that he was told by other Senators, off the record, that Dayton eventually received death threats due to his persistent questions. Dayton pulled out of running for congress thereafter.

The final video (a brief one) is stuck at the end of a 30 second chat with Walter Mondale. Dayton meets a couple of activists on the street following a lecture. After giving a cursory answer supporting a new 9/11 investigation, Dayton is asked if he has ever heard evidence of a cover-up. "Nothing I would hear would surprise me". He seems on his guard about the issue, and maintains a professional distance from it - outstretched hand, thanks for your support...

Again, old news perhaps but it never hurts to be reminded of it. Of course, all of the videos above gain in context when viewed in light of the post-9/11 anthrax attacks, and the ultimate fate of Paul Wellstone. It would have been enlightening to be a fly on the wall to conversations Dayton likely had with his fellow Democrat Senators at the time.

Senator Mark Dayton asks brave questions about 9/11, then reconsiders career.. - Peter Lemkin - 10-07-2011

"Dayton eventually received death threats due to his persistent questions...." Yeah, that sounds about 'right'. Speak to the Empire having 'no clothes' and you get death threats...or loose your job - or your life. As in Nazi Germany and other subsequent totalitarian regimes, so now in Amerika, and much of Europe not far behind. The JFK Assassination should have been the 'wake up' call....or Iran-Contra....or Oklahoma...or 9-11..or the Anthrax self-attacks...or the un-Patriot Acts.....or the ongoing Bankster Coup [Mark IV]... When will America wake up?!....before it is too late?!?!?! I hope against hope.....but if I were a betting man, seeing what I've seen in my 60 years, I fear America will awake..but too late. I hope to be wrong! [I'd place the tipping point between not to late and too late at just about where we now are!]
