Bolivia's vice president says U.S. drug agents will not be returning to his country despite the newly announced normalization of diplomatic relations.
Vice President Alvaro Garcia says the Drug Enforcement Administration "was a mechanism of political blackmail" and is not welcome back.
Garcia did not further explain the statement to reporters.
Bolivia and Washington signed an agreement Monday to restore full diplomatic ties three years after the Andean nation's leftist government expelled the U.S. ambassador and the DEA for allegedly inciting the opposition.
The agreement calls for the restoration of ambassadors but does not set a date.

Bolivia's cocaine seizures improving since the US DEA was kicked out

And that's a plain fact. In the words of President Evo Morales yesterday, "We're better off without the DEA...On our own we're better than with them and we've shown this in a short period of time."

And there's plenty more data to underscore Evo's words than the chunk shown in this chart...

...but it's a good example. Once again the question of whether the USA is the problem or the solution regarding drugs is raised. And once again it will be totally ignored by the dumbasses up North.

No wonder the military-multinational-intelligence complex wants rid of Morales.

Plus he understands the importance of coca to indigenous Andean communities.
