Japan sails over the edge - Mark Stapleton - 25-02-2009

Japan just went over the cliff, unless I'm missing something.

Exports for January were down 46% from last January. Demand for motor vehicles went down 69%, if you can believe it.

This is gathering momentum like a snowball.

Ouch. That must hurt.

If it gets any worse the Yakuza will be on the dole.

Ahhhh.....Mark, that's just a slowdown :dontknow: Perhaps they are more honest with their figures, I'm sure the ones coming out of the US and UK have been 'massaged' [being polite, here] to make them seem less alarming! The whole ****ing Planet is in dire straits and I see no one with any power or bully pulpit making any moves in the correct direction - only 'fixing' things by doing more of what caused the problems in the first place - often with the same captains that grounded all the ships in the first place. Full steam ahead! Forward into the past! :captain:

Ah...you lefties twist everything. Don't you remember, he said it was his pain killers that caused the problem [and politicians don't lie]. Sloppy drunk is now more acceptable in Japan and one doesn't necessarily HAVE to commit hari-kiri any more. But it just might come back as a fad if the pain killers don't do the job.
