Magda was kicked off EF [as were many others of her political persuasion] for not having a 'representative' photo that followed the photo 'rules'...even though some others did not, and arguably she did.....but the EF rules are used to oppress, when needed; and not followed even-handedly by the powers that be over there. Favored people were allowed obscured faces, no photo or, as this, a photo of someone else, even if a cartoon character. The place is a joke, despite a few good members hanging on for reasons unknown.

That's Alfred E. Newman.

Alfred E. Neumann was featured in Verrückt, an all-but-forgotten humor magazine created by the publishers of Der Klabautermann and Die Ostwache -- no doubt appreciated by many EF regulars, and at least one of the site's owners, as being among the great laugh-filled periodicals of the early 1940s.

Oh, that might be two different persons, looking exactly the same, Alfred E. Neumann in the German issue of the MAD magazine (it was/is called MAD here as well) and Alfred E. Newman in the American/British issues. Likely there are other Doppelgaengers...
I have to look up "Der Klabautermann" and "Die Ostwache". You always learn something new on DPF.
