The Orwellian Paradigm--Killing You, For Your Own Safety
#2
Quote:More than half a century ago, Orwell had warned us that the scourge of war eventually turns inward. "The war is waged by each ruling group against its own subjects, and the object of the war is not to make or prevent conquests of territory, but to keep the structure of society intact.

I'll add further that it is not impossible, or even unlikely, that the great financial meltdown beginning 2007/8 was foreseen (if not loosely green-lighted) and adapted for use in the process of "keeping the structure of society intact"- with the aim of robbing society blind and ultimately returning society to the feudalist master-serf relationship.

What the master decrees is the law.

If he wants a wench he takes her. If he wants your money, he takes it. If he's angry, he beats you. If he's angry and bored, he horse-whips you to death.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
Carl Jung - Aion (1951). CW 9, Part II: P.14
