Huge hide of Nazi art plunder found
#4
Perhaps this would be the right time to speak of a story I was once told by a disillusioned cop.

This policemen had gone to a large country mansion on the borders of Suffolk and Essex, in the UK, investigating another incident. Inside the empty old mansion he found a large collection of artworks stacked around the rooms. The mansion was owned by a well known British high street charity, that had some interesting connections. The name of the charity was that of a person who worked for the Special Operations Executive in WWII.

The lady concerned went on to become a Baroness in the House of Lords. Her title, curiously, included Warsaw in Poland and the village of Cavendish in Suffolk. The latter is interesting, if for no other reason than Cavendish was the home of John Cavendish, the progenitor of the Duke of Devonshire. There is a lot of interesting history here. Again curiously, Anthony John Cavendish was a former MI6 officer and a member of Le Cercle - although not, apparently, related to the Duke of Devonshire - aka Peregrin Anthony Morny Cavendish.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
