How high a position did he actually obtain? His protection perhaps has been his not being very visible to the 'taken-in' general public....should that change, one might expect he'd have an 'accident' - that seems to be the usual path [along with prosecution and incarceration for a very long time to life under sedition laws] for insiders who step outside the 'circle'....and speak the truth.
