It just seems so sudden and so dramatic and so uncharacteristic of Caroline. She has shunned the spotlight--and politics--her entire life.
I think Ted's illness is part of the equation. But I also think this experience with Obama where she has heard over and over that no politician has so inspired since her dad is the truth. Her kids are grown, her marriage is ...in name only, so she is looking for the next step. Richard Bartholomew and I have this running email and he believes that Caroline knows all about her family's murders. But in 1997 when I asked Kennedy cousin Kerry if the next generation reads about this stuff her response was one: "John". Not Caroline. However, Richard said Caroline was interviewed and gave the same (pro conspiracy) responses as John . I am not aware of either interview.
