A quick update on the production of END:CIV. During the months of January and February we were busy assisting the Vancouver Media Co-op with coverage of the anti-olympic protests in Vancouver. I am happy to say that yesterday we resumed production of END:CIV. We successfully shot a skit to illustrate Premise 3 of Derrick Jensen’s Endgame. Our goal is to complete END:CIV by September and take the film on the road to 30-40 cities in North America.
This weekend we head to Edmonton where we’ll be taping a three day workshop called Deep Green Resistance hosted by Derrick Jensen, Lierre Keith and Aric McBay and it focuses on building a culture resistance. We hope to use pieces of this on END:CIV and publish the best parts online. There are still spots left for this so if you are in Edmonton or don’t mind traveling there, E-mail lierrekeith@yahoo.com and let her know your name, address and phone number and she’ll give you the deets.
Also, word has it that the Earth First! Journal ran a story on END:CIV. Has anyone seen a copy?
Finally we are continually looking for funding and also venues to show END:CIV when its completed, so feel free to send us email with fund raising ideas and contacts to friendly screening rooms.
All for now
