UK's bid for World Cup
#3
I think the bid was extremely overhyped by the media. Who wants to be sat in Milton Keynes watching Nigeria vs Slovakia on a cold, dull English summer night? There were a number of things in the Russia bid which clinched it for them, such as the free high speed rail travel across the country for all world cup ticket holders.

However it still goes without saying FIFA is corrupt to the core and needs to be looked at by the Swiss authorities but when you are a big cooperation you are untouchable...Jack Warner knows!
