Hello Scott,
I surveyed the contents of the three folders as requested, and with the following observations:
Box 38, Watergate Committee Files--Telephone records, Frank Sturgis, 1973 [about 50-70 pages]
This file contains mostly lists of calls recorded by telephone companies for specific numbers, and obtained through subpoena. These are typically photocopies of records from the telephone companies, and sometimes include short hand written notes or cover letters from officials of the telephone companies. The records include telephone numbers, dates, times and length of call, etc. I do not see the name Kaiser, although the telephone records do not include names of parties called or received, and I am not able to read the quantity of documents in detail.
Box 38, Watergate Committee Files--Notes, circa 1973-circa 1976 [about 60-70 pages]
This file contains mostly hand written notes and brief telephone memos. After about 10 minutes of surveying the notes, I do not see the name Kaiser prominently recorded, but again, I am not able to read the quantity of documents in detail.
Box 36, Watergate Committee Files--Chajet, Elias, 1973-1974 [about 11 pages]
This file contains 3 documents, and I do see the name Kaiser in the first of these. Without reading further, I copied the entire contents of this file and attach it for your reference.
As we discussed on the telephone last week, you should contact the Library's Duplication Services department for more extensive copying, which can be performed for a fee (< http://www.loc.gov/preserv/pds/ >). While the Duplication Service cannot select specific documents within a Box or folder to be copied, you can request that the entire contents of a folder be copied.
Feel free to write back with questions, and good luck with your project.
Lewis
