Does Scott Bennett have any evidence for this, anywhere? He doesn't go out of his way to present it in the article, sadly.
He says 'it was known that Dov Zakheim had secretly arranged for $2.3 trillion dollars to be mis-appropriated through Pentagon channels'. Who knew it? The people that Bennett worked with? Did they just pat him on the back, tell him about it, and wish him good luck in investigating it, or did Bennett discover the details himself, yet not feel the need to mention how in his article?
As a 'contractor for Booz Allen Hamilton', Bennett was given a 'mission' to investigate waste and fraud that had been committed by Dov Zakheim, who was his 'senior supervisor' at the time. Zakheim was the Vice President of Booz Allen Hamilton for several years. Were people in Booz Allen worried that Zakheim was making too much money for the company? Is there anyone in a senior position at Booz Allen who would give a 'mission' to a staff member to investigate the financial activities of the company's Vice President?
Yikes.
