According to the map in Pictures of the Pain, Altgens and Bothun were about fifteen feet from each other. Altgens was literally looking over Bothun's left shoulder at that point -- about 200 feet from the limo. Altgens must have been using a telephoto lens, which explains why Bothun is not visible.
It has been pointed out to me that Altgens and Bothun were at the junction of Main and Houston when they took their photographs of the limo entering Houston. They then jogged across the grass to the location on Elm that I mentioned before -- about 200 ft from the corner of Main and Houston.
Accordingly, I withdraw my post which begins with the words "According to the map in Pictures of the Pain..."
