The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/01/02/after-prince-andrew-is-named-in-u-s-underage-sex-lawsuit-buckingham-palace-says-allegations-are-categorically-untrue/) headline is "Prince Andrew named in underage sex lawsuit; Buckingham Palace says allegations are categorically untrue". Then the body of the text takes things up several levels.

Prince Andrew was named this week in an ongoing lawsuit brought by a group of women who claim they were trafficked to the world’s rich and powerful as part of an alleged underage “sex slave” ring run by American investment banker Jeffrey Epstein.

The allegation, found in a court filing this week, prompted Buckingham Palace to issue an unusual statement to the Guardian (http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/jan/02/prince-andrew-named-us-lawsuit-underage-sex-allegations), noting that the allegation surfaced in “long-running and ongoing civil proceedings in the United States to which the Duke of York is not a party.” The statement continues: “As such we would not comment in detail. However, for the avoidance of doubt, any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue.”

As part of a 2008 plea deal with prosecutors, Epstein spent 13 months in prison on a state charge of soliciting prostitutes. According to unsealed documents pertaining to that deal (http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2009-09-19/news/0909180353_1_criminal-defense-attorney-prosecutors-victims), Epstein was the subject of a federal investigation probing allegations that the powerful figure abused dozens of underage girls at his Palm Beach mansion. The deal effectively allowed him to avoid potential federal charges stemming from the investigation.

The lawsuit, filed in 2008 by two anonymous alleged victims, charges federal prosecutors with violating a statute by not consulting with them before finalizing the plea deal. The latest filing is a motion to expand that existing case to include the allegations of two more women.

Those women named Prince Andrew, Alan Dershowitz and other powerful associates of Epstein as participants in the alleged sexual abuse ring. It’s the first time the Duke of York’s name has appeared in a court document alleging that he sexually abused Epstein’s alleged victims.

But as the Guardian’s reporting makes clear, this isn’t the first time the Duke of York’s name has been linked publicly to the allegations against Epstein: Prince Andrew was friends with Epstein for years — before, during and after the banker served time in prison. In 2011, responding to a statement from one of Epstein’s former employees, Prince Andrew told Vanity Fair (http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2011/06/prince-andrew-ties-to-jeffrey-epstein-and-his-tenuous-position-in-the-firm) that he never attended any of the notorious pool parties at Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion and denied having contact with the alleged victims. He allegedly ended his friendship with Epstein at some point that year.

In the new motion, “Jane Doe #3″ says she was “forced to have sexual relations with this Prince when she was a minor in three separate geographical locations,” including in British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell’s apartment in London; during an “orgy” on Epstein’s island in the U.S. Virgin Islands; and in New York.

“Epstein instructed Jane Doe #3 that she was to give the Prince whatever he demanded and required Jane Doe #3 to report back to him on the details of the sexual abuse,” the document says. Maxwell is a friend of Epstein’s who is named as a co-conspirator in the suit.

Dershowitz, too, has denied the allegations against him in the new motion. Speaking to Politico this week, the attorney said the claims were “totally, unequivocally and completely false.” Those allegations include a claim that “Deshowitz was an eye-witness to the sexual abuse of many other minors by Epstein and several of Epstein’s co-conspirators,” that “Epstein required Jane Doe #3 to have sexual relations with Dershowitz on numerous occasions,” and that the attorney played “a significant role” in negotiating Epstein’s federal plea agreement.

Dershowitz told Politico (http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2014/12/court-filing-levels-sex-claims-at-alan-dershowitz-200495.html) he’s planning on filing some charges of his own in response to the allegations:
“[I'm] planning to file disbarment charges against the two lawyers who signed this petition without even checking the manifests of airplanes or travel itineraries, et cetera,” he said. “I’m also challenging the young woman and the lawyers to level those charges against me outside of the courtroom, so that I can sue them for defamation…..Finally, I’m challenging the woman to file criminal charges against me because the filing of false criminal charges is a crime.”

Federal prosecutors identified more than 40 potential victims in their investigation against Epstein before the federal inquiry was dropped in the plea deal. Some of those victims have reached out-of-court settlements with Epstein for undisclosed amounts.

According to the motion, Epstein’s clients included “many other powerful men, including numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known Prime Minister, and other world leaders.” The alleged victim accuses Epstein of requiring the women he gave to powerful individuals to “describe the events” with them “so that he could potentially blackmail them.”

Through her lawyers, Jane Doe #3 issued the following statement to the Guardian in response to the denials of her alleged abusers: “These types of aggressive attacks on me are exactly the reason why sexual abuse victims typically remain silent and the reason why I did for a long time. That trend should change. I’m not going to be bullied back into silence.”

The paper reported that it knew the identity of the alleged victim, but would respect her wishes to remain anonymous in connection to the suit.

The whole thing is quite outrageous, ridiculous, and, er, deplorable.

For who among her Majesty's loyal and devout subjects has not heard the rumour that Randy is a zealous player of the "pink oboe"? A disgusting nonsense? Perhaps, but a serviceable one should the need arise.

Still, we need have no fears for the Firm's future, particularly if we can manoeuvre the lying hussy into an English court room before she boards a Malaysian airplane, shoots herself four times in the head, or spontaneously combusts in a sordid cubicle while injecting. I have just the judge for the job. Here he is. A more representative specimen of the upper reaches of the English judiciary I have yet to find:

Thank goodness that the prince/Buck House say in the Daily Bellylaugh's article today:

"Prince Andrew: I Did not Sleep with Sex Slave Girl (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/theroyalfamily/11323872/Prince-Andrew-denies-having-relations-with-sex-slave-girl.html)"

That clears things up nicely, eh.

Blowjob anyone?

Knowing how seriously the UK government takes rape, given their determination to get Assange to Sweeden to face charges, let alone rape of a minor, I fully expect they will have a plane ready for Andrew so he can be whisked off to the USA to assist in their inquiries.....::flyingpig::

The Indy this morning is doing a really nice job on the royals and the prince as the following screenshot shows - the top two lead stories:

Prince Andrew: Aides step up defence amid further details of sex allegations

The Duke of York strongly denies having 'had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts'

CAHAL MILMO (http://www.independent.co.uk/biography/cahal-milmo)http://www.independent.co.uk/skins/ind/images/plus.png

Sunday 04 January 2015

Prince Andrew was due to return to Britain on Sunday night as allegations that he had sexual relations with a teenage girl continued to swirl and Buckingham Palace issued a second denial of the claims.

The Queen’s second son was returning from a skiing trip in Switzerland after the emergence of further details about the allegations by a woman who claims she was used as a “sex slave” by one of his friends. The claim was denied robustly by royal aides.

The denial went further than a more limited statement issued by Buckingham Palace on Friday, following the naming of the Prince’s accuser as Virginia Roberts, who has three children and recently returned to the United States after living in Australia.
In its second statement, the Palace said it “emphatically denied” that the Duke of York “had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts”. It added: “The allegations are false and without any foundation.”
The claims from Ms Roberts are part of a lawsuit before the American courts arising from the 2008 conviction on an underage sex charge of the multimillionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein, who is a former friend of the Duke.
Two Sunday newspapers published further details of the claimed meetings between Ms Roberts and Andrew, who is fifth in line to the throne. The fightback by royal aides is viewed as a recognition of the potential of the claims against the Prince, who is not a party to the US case and thus has no automatic right to respond, to damage both him and the Royal Family.

In documents laid before a Florida court, Ms Roberts alleges that she slept with the Prince on three occasions – in London, New York and during an “orgy” on a private Caribbean island owned by Mr Epstein – between 1999 and 2002. The lawsuit arises from claims that a non-prosecution agreement secured on Mr Epstein’s behalf by his lawyers, which saw more serious potential federal charges against him dropped, was struck after the financier used his “social and political connections” to secure a more lenient plea bargain.

Never believe anything until it has been officially denied. So it goes. Well Buck house as denied it twice now. What do you reckon that means?

It's worth reading the seedy Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2895735/The-account-masseuse-centre-explosive-Prince-Andrew-sex-slave-drama-telling-truth.html) which has published an exclusive on this story. To be perfectly honest I can't help thinking this girl is gold digging - but not from Epstein or Prince Andrew. They are being burned to make others pay up, is my sense. I could be entirely wrong, of course, but it's her general tenor and below comment that cause me to wonder at the entire story. Maybe both men did as she said, but I still think she has an agenda:

‘A lot of powerful men were part of Jeffrey’s scene, but I specifically remember Andrew,’ she says.
And:

But she says it is now time ‘to fight’, adding: ‘When I think of what he and these other men did, it breaks my heart. I am going to name every guy who deserves to be named when I go to court.’

Westminster child abuse inquiry link to Prince Andrew paedophile associate (http://undercoverinfo.wordpress.com/2015/01/05/westminster-child-abuse-inquiry-link-to-prince-andrew-paedophile-associate/) Posted on 5 January, 2015 (http://undercoverinfo.wordpress.com/2015/01/05/westminster-child-abuse-inquiry-link-to-prince-andrew-paedophile-associate/) by Undercover1 (http://undercoverinfo.wordpress.com/author/coburg1/)

Over the last couple of days newspapers and the blogosphere have been awash with stories about the civil suit in the USA that includes an allegation that Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, had sex with an under-age girl – Virginia Roberts – courtesy of Jeffrey Epstein, a US business associate of the prince and a convicted paedophile. Now we can reveal that one of the names listed in Epstein’s address book was the man who oversaw the first inquiry into a Westminster paedophile ring.
Further details are given below, together with a copy of the legal submission by the plaintiffs listed in the current case against Epstein and pdfs of exhibits submitted at his trial.
1. The Havers connection?
According to the legal submission Jeffrey Epstein’s phone book included 26 numbers for Prince Andrew alone. We can also reveal that Epstein’s phone book includes the contact details of Sir Michael Havers, the former British Attorney-General: this is of significance given that Havers oversaw the first inquiry into the notorious Westminster paedophile ring. Havers was Attorney General 1979-87 and has been subject to a number of allegations, including that he helped to stop the Elm Guest House investigation, tried to stop (http://hansard.millbanksystems.com/written_answers/1981/mar/19/sir-peter-hayman-1) Sir Peter Hayman being named in (http://vipcsa.wikidot.com/peter-hayman)Parliament by Geoffrey Dickens MP (http://vipcsa.wikidot.com/geoffrey-dickens-mp) and tried to limit the inquiry into the Kincora boys home (http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/local-national/northern-ireland/baronesss-brother-tried-to-limit-probe-into-kincora-30430984.html)sex scandal. Havers’ sister, Baroness Butler-Sloss, was forced to stand down as head of another, second inquiry into child sex abuse on a wider scale, because she was seen as being “too establishment”. (For further details on the Westminster paedophile ring, see Section 4 below.)
2. The documents and allegations
The legal submission (https://www.scribd.com/embeds/251521437/content?start_page=1&view_mode=scroll&access_key=k ey-r95btD10qMfanqa0IgCA&show_recommendations=true) by the plaintiffs – each going by the name ‘Jane Doe’ – was made on 30 December 2014, resulting in the statement by the British monarchy (see Section 3 below). This is also availabl (http://failedmessiah.typepad.com/files/jane-doe-1-and-jane-doe-2-v-u-s.pdf)e in pdf format.
Here also are copies of court documents relating to Epstein’s trial: click here (http://cases.bms11.com/Documents/FL76/09-34791/ECF_DOC_1603_10567451.pdf) and here (https://cases.bms11.com/Documents/FL76/09-34791/ECF_DOC_1603_10567747.pdf).
In the submission to the court Virginia Roberts – listed as “Jane Doe #3” – alleges that:

in 1999 she was groomed as a ‘sex slave’ at the age of 15 on Epstein’s behalf by Ghislaine Maxwell (the daughter of the late and disgraced media magnate, Sir Robert Maxwell)
she was subsequently sex trafficked to US politicians, business executives, a ‘well-known prime minister’, foreign presidents and world leaders
when she was only 17 years old (in the USA the age of consent is 18) she had sex with Prince Andrew in London, New York and on an island in the Virgin Islands owned by Epstein
Epstein intended to blackmail those persons who participated in the sexual liaisons
Alan Dershowitz, Epstein’s lawyer, had sex with her on numerous occasions

The submission further alleges that Prince Andrew used his influence on the US Government to assist Dershowitz in negotiating:

a low sentence for his client of 13 months (for having sex with a 14 year old girl)
an agreement that Epstein’s associates would be immune from prosecution (although not necessarily from being subpoenaed to appear in any future court hearing as a witness)
that the cases involving 40 more sex abuse victims would not be investigated further

The plea deal negotiated for Epstein states: “If Epstein successfully fulfils all the terms of this agreement the United States also agrees that it will not institute any criminal charges against any potential co-conspirators of Epstein including but no limited to [four named individuals not including Prince Andrew or Dershowitz].” In other words if Prince Andrew is considered to be a co-conspirator he could be prevented from have to face criminal charges (though not necessarily charges raised in a civil suit).
After Epstein was released from jail he and Prince Andrew met up and were photographed together in New York’s Central Park. However, because of his association with Epstein the Prince was forced to relinquish his role as UK trade envoy.
3. The denials
Over the weekend Buckingham Palace issued an uncharacteristic strongly-worded denial of any liaison between the prince and the girl. The statement initially stated that “any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors” by the duke was “categorically untrue”. In a second strongly worded statement on Saturday night, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “It is emphatically denied that the Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship with [the woman]. The allegations made are false and without any foundation.”
Maxwell and Dershowitz have also strongly denied all allegations.
Whether or not Prince Andrew is required to provide evidence at court hearings involving Epstein or Virginia Roberts, Buckingham Palace may be forced into adopting more defensive measures to protect the reputation of the ‘Firm’ against these and other allegations. Which brings us back to the current inquiry into the 1970/80s London-based paedophile ring and the murder of three children…
4. The other Royal sex scandal
The 1970/80s paedophile ring was linked to sex orgies (http://eguardian.com/politics/2014/jul/05/elm-guest-house-paedophile-network-allegations)at the Elm Guest House and a flat at Dolphin Square. The recent, revived interest in what happened is partly a result of the matter being raised by Labour MPs Tom Watson and John Mann and is now under investigation by a department of the Metropolitan Police. Here is some background on the scandal…
The paedophile ring was first looked into as a result of a dossier presented by the late Labour cabinet minster, Baroness Barbara Castle. The dossier alleged (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/two-tory-ministers-were-named-3885736#ICID=sharebar_twitter) that Sir Keith Joseph and Sir Rhodes Boyson, other MPs, senior policemen, head teachers and clergy were involved in the ring and that there were also “links to the royal household”. Tory activist Anthony Gilberthorpe claimed he provided 40 pages of evidence (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/tory-child-abuse-whistleblower-margaret-3849172) about Cabinet members abusing underage boys to Margaret Thatcher and that Joseph, Boyson, Dr Alastair Smith and Michael Havers were involved. Gilberthorpe also claimed (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/tory-child-abuse-whistleblower-i-3848987) he supplied underage rent boys for private sex parties at Tory conferences and that he is willing to testify to this at any inquiry.
After Castle had collated the dossier, she handed it to Don Hale, the respected editor of her local newspaper, the Bury Messenger. Mr Hale later claimed that a “heavy mob” of Special Branch officers raided his office and confiscated the dossier a day after paedophile Liberal MP Cyril Smith had visited him to demand he bury the story. Labour MP Geofrey Dickens later presented (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/margaret-thatchers-cabinet-bigwigs-named-3919442) the Castle dossier to Tory Cabinet minister Sir Leon Brittain (who recently claimed it had been ‘lost’ by the Home Office).
More recently the investigation moved up a gear when police were handed another dossier by MP John Mann, naming 22 individuals: these include six serving parliamentarians from an early dossier (three MPs and three members of the House of Lords), 14 Conservative politicians, 5 Labour politicians and 3 politicians from other parties. Again, two of the politicians named (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/two-tory-ministers-were-named-3885736#ICID=sharebar_twitter) in this dossier are Sir Keith Joseph and Sir Rhodes Boyson.
It is believed that the Dolphin Square flat (and possibly Elm Guest House) was the venue where three children were murdered (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11301225/Westminster-paedophile-ring-Police-investigate-murders-of-three-boys.html): one boy was strangled by a Conservative MP, a second boy was murdered by two men and witnessed by another Conservative MP, and a third boy was deliberately run over by a car.
Note… Allegations of sexual impropriety against members of the Royal Family go back decades – the most famous in recent history involving the Profumo Affair, when it was widely understood that one of those establishment figures attending sex parties organised by Lord Astor and who would arrive at the parties in an iron mask was a very senior royal. Another prominent figure attending the parties and who had sexual relationship with socialite Christine Keeler was John Profumo, Minister of War. However, Keeler was also having a sexual relationship with the Russian Naval Attache, Captain Yevgeny Ivanov. The ensuing scandal saw the prosecution of osteopath Stephen Ward – who was falsely accused of living off the immoral earnings of Keeler and her friend Mandy-Rice Davies. The subsequent trial of Ward led to his conviction. After listening to the judge’s damning summing-up, Ward allegedly took an overdose of sleeping tablets and was taken to hospital. On the next day he was found guilty in absentia of the charges relating to Keeler and Rice-Davies. Sentence was postponed until Ward was fit to appear, but a few days later he died after apparently taking an overdose (it was suggested (http://spyinggame.me/2012/08/14/honeytrap/) that Ward was killed by an agent or agents acting for MI6). In the fall-out Profumo was forced to resign his post once it became clear he had lied to Parliament; not long after the Conservative Government collapsed. But the matter of the ‘senior royal’ was, some might say, conveniently ‘forgotten’. See the Profumo Affair (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profumo_affair) for more.

Great find, Maggie.

Like father, like son perhaps?

Former Home Secretary's, Prime Ministers, Attorney Generals, other cabinet ministers AND royalty - not to mention intelligence and security chiefs, numerous Plod, judges et al.

If the Havers allegation is true, it should rip this whole story wide open. Should but will it? What with Theresa May blocking every effort at an independent and fair inquiry I doubt it will ever happen. The state will suppress everything.

The more I ponder this one question arises: why would Epstein have Havers contact details in his possession? Sir Michael Havers died in 1992. There seems to be a disparity in the dates?

Mmm...Epsteins was in trading since 1976 and in his own business with only investors with a spare billion to gamble with since 1982. So what am saying is I think he has beenin the game of buying and selling and loaning young girls and boys for quite some time. Not just recently. So the times would fit. I don't think the Jane Doe is claiming to have encountered Havers. Though a Prime Minister is mentioned. I suspect Blair.

Yes, my first thought was Blair too. First Murdoch's wife, now (possibly) Jane Doe 3.

I take your argument about the dates, but would't he clean up his address book periodically? I just don't know what to make of the whole thing. Time will tell, I guess.

Buckingham Palace has twice issued denials that Prince Andrew slept with Virginia Roberts

CHIEF REPORTER

Monday 05 January 2015

Documents that could reveal the extent of any lobbying by Prince Andrew on behalf of the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein are being kept out of the public eye after the millionaire financier obtained a court order declaring any such material confidential.

Lawyers acting for a woman who claims that she was forced to sleep with the Duke of York when she was a teenager alleged that he vouched for Epstein while the billionaire financier was negotiating a plea bargain with US prosecutors about an investigation into sex with underage girls.
In a highly unusual media counter-offensive, Buckingham Palace has twice issued denials that the Prince slept with Virginia Roberts on three occasions between 1999 and 2002 in London, New York and on a private Caribbean island during an orgy.
Royal aides have also denied any involvement by the Prince in the second element of the allegations made in court documents filed in Florida last week – that Epstein used his “significant social and political connections” to exert pressure for the plea deal which eventually saw him jailed for soliciting underage prostitutes under state law. More serious federal offences were dropped.
Prince Andrew: Life in pictures (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/prince-andrew-life-in-pictures-9954522.html)
A royal official said: “The Duke of York would never interfere in an active legal case and did not do so in this case.”
Lawyers acting for Ms Roberts and three other women, who claim their right to be consulted on the non-prosecution deal was infringed by US prosecutors, believe that documentation exists to show that a number of public figures, including Prince Andrew and the former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, lobbied on Epstein’s behalf during the case. Mr Dershowitz also strongly denies the claim.

Legal documents seen by The Independent said the material potentially includes “letters of recommendation or similar communication to any [US] government official vouching for or providing support for Jeffrey Epstein”.
In May last year, prosecutors surrendered 541 pages of correspondence with Epstein’s lawyers leading up to the 2008 non-prosecution agreement as part of an ongoing process by the alleged victims seeking access to almost 15,000 pages of documentation.
http://www.independent.co.uk/incoming/article9959236.ece/alternates/w460/9-Dershowitz-Reuters.jpgAlan Dershowitz discussed the allegations levelled against him during an interview at his home in Miami on Monday (Reuters)
But under an unpublicised ruling obtained by lawyers for Epstein, the details of the documents cannot be disclosed after it was argued that the negotiations over his plea deal were confidential and should not automatically enter the public domain.
Instead, lawyers for the women must redact any references to the correspondence in their public filings after a judge ruled that Mr Epstein had “shown good cause to prevent potential dissemination... to the press for the purposes of generating publicity”.
The so-called protective confidentiality order was fiercely opposed by those representing Ms Roberts, now 31, who has three children and is living in America. They argued that it risked impeding public scrutiny of the Epstein case.
In a legal paper opposing the order, Brad Edwards and Paul Cassell, the lawyers for Ms Roberts, said: “There is an overriding interest in having these matters exposed to public light.
“There is considerable public interest in the question of how a serial child molester could arrange such a lenient plea agreement.”

The Duke of York's former friend Jeffrey Epstein used "aggressive witness tampering" on employees who later refused to answer questions about whether the Duke slept with underage girls, according to US investigators.

Epstein is also said to have bankrolled the legal fees of witnesses who invoked their right to silence to avoid answering whether young girls were “provided for sex” to the Duke.

Lawyers representing women who were sexually abused by Epstein have complained bitterly that it became “impossible” to gather evidence from vital witnesses because so many of them had legal representation paid for by Epstein, a billionaire investment banker.

The Duke of York has “categorically denied” claims made in US court documents that he “sexually abused” a 17-year-old girl called Virginia Roberts, or engaged in any “impropriety with under-age minors”.

The Duke, 54, spent today in discussions with lawyers and aides at Royal Lodge, his home near Windsor Castle, where he and his staff refused to answer any more questions about the allegations.

His ex-wife, the Duchess of York, described him as “the best man in the world” in her first comments since the allegations surfaced last week.
Court documents filed in Florida reveal the extent to which the FBI and victims’ lawyers were frustrated in their attempts to investigate the extent of Epstein’s sex offending, and the claims against the Duke.
One court statement lists ten employees and associates of Epstein who, it said, were being represented by lawyers paid for by the convicted sex offender. They include Nadia Marcinkova, described as “Epstein’s live-in sex slave”, who invoked her right not to incriminate herself, protected by the US constitution’s Fifth Amendment, when she was asked about the Duke of York.
Asked by a victim’s lawyer: “Have you ever been made to perform sexually on Prince Andrew?” she replied: “Fifth.” As well as having a lawyer provided by Epstein, she was “harassed and pressured” by him not to cooperate, court papers allege.

Sarah Kellen, Epstein’s executive assistant, whose legal fees were also said to have been paid by Epstein, was asked: “Would you agree with me that Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein used to share under-age girls for sexual relations?” She replied: “On the instruction of my lawyer, I must invoke my Fifth Amendment privilege.” Miss Kellen was “threatened” by Epstein to prevent her co-operating, it is alleged.
Epstein himself, questioned under oath, refused to answer the questions: “Did you provide any under-aged girls for sex to Prince Andrew?” and: “Did you fly with Prince Andrew on your plane, or planes, with any under-aged girls, girls under the age of 18?”
A third woman, Adriana Ross, a former model who worked as Epstein’s diary organiser, refused to answer the question: “Has Prince Andrew ever been involved with under-age minor females to your knowledge?”
When two FBI Specials Agents went to the home of Leslie Groff, a personal assistant to Epstein, in 2007 to serve her with a federal grand jury subpoena, she told them she had to go upstairs to check her sleeping child, but instead phoned Epstein, who told her not to speak to the agents.
The "aggressive witness tampering" was "so severe" that examples were written into proposed plea agreements for Epstein, court documents state.
Court papers also allege that Epstein used his fleet of private aircraft to traffic young girls around the world for sex.
Flight logs show that in May 2000 the Duke flew with Epstein in his Gulfstream jet as a guest, accompanied by a royal protection officer. There is no suggestion any young girls were being trafficked or abused on the flight from New York to Florida.
The claims that the Duke “sexually abused” Miss Roberts were made in the latest round of an attempt by victims of Epstein to have his 2008 plea bargain overturned. They say his deal with Florida prosecutors – which gave him immunity from federal prosecution and allowed him to serve just 13 months in jail – was unlawful because the victims were not consulted.
Epstein was allowed the plea bargain despite an FBI investigation concluding that 40 women should be “characterised as victims”, some of whom went to Epstein’s homes 100 times or more.
Papers seen by The Daily Telegraph show that the Duke’s friendship with Epstein – and his resulting resignation as UK trade envoy in 2011 – are described as creating a strong public interest case for disclosing the secret terms of the plea bargain.
The victims, who claim the Duke lobbied the US government for a lenient deal for his friend, said in one court document: “In light of all this interest, it appears that Epstein's motivation in keeping entire documents sealed is to block the public from learning about what happened during the investigation of his crimes, rather than any legitimate purpose.”
The Duke’s aides have denied he would ever interfere in an ongoing legal case, and court papers show that the US Justice Department told the victims it held no documents in relation to any alleged lobbying by the Duke.

Bill Clinton drawn into Prince Andrew sex scandalNICK O'MALLEY

Former US President Bill Clinton and his wife, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, seen here in Iowa in September, have been roped into a sex scandal.

Former US president Bill Clinton has been drawn into the scandal surrounding Virginia Roberts' allegations she was instructed to have sex with Prince Andrew by American financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Court documents show (http://cases.bms11.com/Documents/FL76/09-34791/ECF_DOC_1603_10567451.pdf) Clinton was one of many high-profile friends of Epstein to visit his private island and fly on his jet, and that Epstein's phone directory showed he had 21 phone numbers for Clinton or his aides.
The documents suggest no wrong-doing on Clinton's behalf, but they have set off speculation – particularly on the part of conservative online media – about the potential impact of the scandal on Hillary Clinton's presumed run for the White House."Bubba and the Palm Beach Pedophile" screams a headline on the Drudge Report, the conservative blog made famous by its Monica Lewinsky scandal revelations, in a headline today.

Virginia Roberts, the woman who has alleged Epstein used her as a "sex slave" and instructed her to have sex with Prince Andrew.

"The [flight logs] clearly show that Clinton frequently flew with Epstein aboard his plane, then suddenly stopped – raising the suspicion that the friendship abruptly ended, perhaps because of events related to Epstein's sexual abuse of children," says a statement of facts lodged by Roberts' lawyer in a civil case.
"This information certainly leads one to believe that Clinton might well be a source of relevant information and efforts to obtain discovery from him were reasonably calculated to lead to admissible evidence," it went on.
In an interview with the Daily Mail in 2011, Roberts, who was 17 when she met Epstein and claims she became his "sex slave", describes meeting Clinton while with Epstein, but says she was never "lent out" to him, as she says she was to Prince Andrew.

Attorney and law professor Alan Dershowitz denies assaulting Virginia Roberts. He also denies ever meeting her.

The statement of facts lodged last week by Roberts' lawyers alleges that Epstein's goal in trafficking minors to rich and powerful people was to "ingratiate himself with them for business, personal, political, and financial gain, as well as to obtain potential blackmail information".

Buckingham Palace steps up its denial that Prince Andrew had sex with an underage girl and names the victim which the U.K. press say had wanted to remain anonymous. Mana Rabiee reports.

Donald Trump, the Republican developer and TV personality who is considering his own run for the White House in 2016 features in these.
"The message pads confiscated from Epstein's home indicated that Trump called Epstein's West Palm Beach mansion on several occasions during the time period most relevant to my client's complaints," say the documents.
"Trump was quoted in a Vanity Fair article about Epstein as saying 'I've known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life."'
The documents allege that Ghislaine Maxwell, the socialite daughter of the late press magnate Robert Maxwell, introduced the then 15-year-old Roberts to Epstein, and forced her to have sex with them and other powerful associates. Maxell denies the allegations.
The high-profile former Harvard law professor, defence attorney and political commentator Alan Dershowitz, on Monday furiously denied allegations in the new documents that he not only assaulted Roberts, but that he witnessed assaults of her and other young women by Epstein and several co-conspirators.
On NBC's Today Show on Monday morning Dershowitz denied ever having met Roberts.
"I don't even know who she is," he said. "I've never seen her, I've never met her. Her lawyers have to know this. Her lawyers . . . deliberately and wilfully filed this in a pleading, which they knew I had no opportunity to respond to in court, without any investigation.
"If they had simply investigated the manifest of the airplanes, if they had checked my travel records, if they had asked me, and I could have given them the names of the people who are witnesses, they would know the story is totally false".
Jeffrey Epstein scandal - a timeline
The explosive new allegations of abuse of Virginia Roberts by Prince Andrew begins with another broader, older, scandal – that the billionaire American financier Jeffrey Epstein procured young women and girls to have sex with and to "loan" to his powerful friends.
It is alleged Epstein hoped to ingratiate himself with them, and even to gather potential blackmail material.
In 2008 Epstein pleaded guilty to one count of solicitation of prostitution and served 13 months of an 18-month sentence after prosecutors in Florida dropped other charges in a plea deal.
The scandal has resurfaced over the past days because when he pleaded guilty to a single charge as part of a deal with prosecutors that gave him immunity from prosecution over more serious federal charges, the prosecutors failed to inform his victims of the deal, in violation of the law.
Two of those victims have been fighting for more than six years to have that immunity rescinded as a result.
Those victims are known as Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2.
Last week Jane Doe 3 – who has revealed herself to be Roberts - and Jane Doe 4 filed a motion to join that lawsuit.
It is in these court documents that new details about allegations against Prince Andrew and Epstein have been revealed.
Roberts alleges she was abused by Epstein – and at times by his friends including Prince Andrew – between 1999 and 2002, when she married an Australian in Thailand and moved to the New South Wales Central Coast.
She returned to the US in 2013.
TIMELINE
1998 - Virginia Roberts meets Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of a disgraced British newspaper tycoon and close associate of Jeffrey Epstein.
1999-2002 - The time period during which Virginia Roberts [Jane Doe #3] claims to have spent as a "sex slave" for Jeffrey Epstein, servicing him and numerous powerful men associated with Epstein.
2000 - Jeffrey Epstein is a guest at a party at Windsor Castle celebrating the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.
2002 - Virginia Roberts leaves Epstein and marries a man in Thailand.
March 2005 - Florida police investigate Jeffrey Epstein for "sexual battery" following accusations that he paid female minors for sex during 2004 and 2005.
May 2006 - A probable cause affidavit is filed against Epstein by Palm Beach police, accusing him of four counts of unlawful sex with minors and one count of molestation. A grand jury returns with a single charge of solicitation of prostitution.
August 2006 - Epstein pleads not guilty to the charge of solicitation of prostitution.
September 2007 - Famed criminal defense attorney Alan Dershowitz helped Epstein negotiate a then-secret non-prosecution agreement with the US Attorney's Office, which deferred to the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office for criminal charges.
February 2008 - A $US50 million civil lawsuit is filed against Epstein by an anonymous Virginia woman, stating that in 2004-2005 as a 16-year-old minor she was "recruited to give Epstein a massage" and forced to have sex with him.
March 2008 - A second similar civil action is filed against Epstein, though this and other accusations against Epstein will eventually be settled out of court.
June 2008 - Epstein pleads guilty to solicitation of prostitution, avoiding a trial involving more serious charges. Epstein begins an 18-month sentence in prison, of which he will serve 13 months.
July 2008 - Two lawyers, Brad Edwards and Paul Cassell, filed a Jane Doe lawsuit against the US government, alleging Epstein committed crimes against their clients, including sex trafficking of children by fraud.
July 2008 - The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals rules the prosecutors in the case against Epstein failed to ensure that his victims were informed of the plea deal before it was agreed, a violation of the Crime Victims Rights Act.
22 July 2009 - Epstein is released from prison.
February 2011 - Prince Andrew is photographed walking in Central Park in New York with Epstein. Media reports indicate Andrew spent four days at Epstein's home in New York.
March 2011 - Virginia Roberts, an American woman, speaking to UK newspaper The Daily Mail, claims to have been forced to serve as Epstein's "sex slave" and accuses him of forcing her to have sex with some of his famous and powerful friends. Though former US President Bill Clinton associated with Epstein, Ms Roberts claims she never had sex with him, nor did she think he had sex with anyone associated with Epstein.
March 2011 - It is revealed that Epstein gave Prince Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, £15,000 to reduce her debts.
July 2011 - Prince Andrew resigns as UK trade envoy amid ferocious criticism over his friendship with Epstein.
30 December 2014 - A court filing in the United States District Court in the Southern District of Florida, filed as part of the civil case against Epstein pending since July 2008, alleges Epstein forced Virginia Roberts to have sex with several men, including Prince Andrew and Alan M. Dershowitz, a famous Harvard Law professor and criminal defence attorney. Epstein made Roberts available to powerful men to ingratiate himself with them and to obtain potential blackmail information, according to the filing.
January 2015 - Speaking to the Daily Mail, Virginia Roberts says Epstein paid her £10,000 to have sex with Prince Andrew while she was still a minor.
January 2015 - Buckingham Palace releases this statement: "It is emphatically denied that the Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts. The allegations made are false and without any foundation."

A glitch in The Matrix? It happens when the machines change something.

Why this scandal and why now? Women start coming forward. Let's face it. They're shooting for more money. Have they been sought out and encouraged for political reasons?

Wayne Madsen says this scandal threatens both Hillary and the Jebster. Hillary because of her corrupt husband and Jeb because he and Bill helped get Epstein off with a light sentence.

Given the 1986 dateline of the above article, I'm starting to ponder the possible motives for Maxwell's death - given his cash strapped situation at the time. Yes, I'm fairly sure the British or US intel gave the order to toss him overboard, but the question remains why?

For the record, Harvey Proctor MP, on of "gay spanking parties with boys" stood trial for "sex offences of a sad masochistic nature against teenage boys and was forced to resign." Cottaging seems to be an indulgence that affects British prime ministers?

Ted Heath 'stopped cottaging for gay sex to protect his career', says Tory MPBy IAN DRURY
Last updated at 18:53 24 April 2007

He led the Tories to a surprise General Election victory over Labour, took Britain into Europe and lost power after failing to beat the unions over the three-day week.
But Sir Edward Heath might never have had a stint in 10 Downing Street had he not heeded advice to stop 'cottaging' for gay sex.
For he was warned in the 1950s that cruising for homosexual encounters could destroy his political career.
Sir Edward, a lifelong bachelor who died in 2005, always refused to comment on his sexuality.
But Brian Coleman, a senior Tory member of the London Assembly, has claimed the ex-Prime Minister had actively sought gay sex in public places.
He said it was 'common knowledge' among Conservatives that Sir Edward had been given a stern warning by police when he underwent background checks for the for the post of Privy Councillor.
In an internet article for the New Stateman magazine, Mr Coleman claimed that gay men had run the Conservative Party in the capital for years, whether as officials, councillors or volunteers.
He wrote that Britain 'had managed for decades with gay men holding a significant number of public offices'.
Mr Coleman, who is gay himself, added: 'The late Ted Heath managed to obtain the highest office of state after he was supposedly advised to cease his cottaging activities in the Fifties when he became a Privy Councillor.'
Sir Edward, a world-class yachtsman, endured a torrid time as Prime Minister after winning power in 1970. He took office promising to be 'tough on pay and tough on unions'.
But following endless powercuts, a three-day working week and a pay freeze against the background of the 1970s oil crisis, he was humiliated after being defeated in the snap General Election of 1974.
Derek Conway, Sir Edward's successor as Tory MP for Old Bexley and Sidcup, denied there had been any hint of impropriety in his private life.
He said: 'Ted was absolutely wedded to politics. He didn't have a great deal of personal companionship in his life but there are people who are capable of getting on with their lives without companionship.'
Mr Coleman made his claim in an article that complained about gay men in public life often being 'outed' by others against their will.
Senior police chiefs, cathedral deans and Tory MPs now regularly feature in the gay press, he said.
He wrote: 'I once asked the late Baroness Blatch as she tried to position herself to inherit the anti-gay crusade of Baroness Young exactly who she thought ran the Conservative Party in London?
'When she looked at me blankly I replied 'the gay men of course' and certainly a huge percentage of Conservative councillors, professional staff and association officers are gay.'
He said the practice of 'outing' public figures was carried out by tabloid newspapers to 'discourage thousands of men' from standing for office.
He cited disgraced Liberal Democrat Mark Oaten, a former party leadership candidate, who last year announced he would resign as an MP after his sordid six-month affair with a male prostitute was exposed.
Fellow Liberal Democrat leadership candidate Simon Hughes was also forced to admit he was gay after repeatedly denying the fact.
But Mr Coleman said: "In my experience the only people fascinated as to who does what and to whom are other gay men.
"The average voter could not care less if their Member of Parliament visits Hampstead Heath at Midnight as long as they get the holes in the road mended."

"Madam" Ghislaine at work, according to a 2009 federal Florida law suit that was settled for an undisclosed sum.

Alleged madam massaged Jeffrey Epstein to teach teen victim to be his masseuse: lawsuit

Ghislaine Maxwell is accused of stripping down to her underwear in 1999 to massage Epstein to teach 15-year-old Virginia Roberts to become his full-time masseuse. Roberts claims she was told she had ‘lots of potential.’ Maxwell has also been accused of arranging for Roberts to have sex with Prince Andrew.

Jeffrey Epstein's “madam” was hands on, court papers say.
Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite accused of procuring young girls for the billionaire pervert, allegedly joined in on his debauched activities, one of his victims claims.
In a 2009 lawsuit she filed against Epstein using the name “Jane Doe,” Virginia Roberts says she was a 15-year-old working a $9 an hour job at the Mar-A-Lago Club in Palm Beach when she was “recruited” by Maxwell in 1999.
Maxwell, now 53, “lived, travelled, socialized and worked” with Epstein, the suit says.
“Ms. Maxwell asked if she was interested in learning massage therapy and earning a great deal of money while learning the profession,” the suit says.
Maxwell took her to Epstein's home and into a massage room, where he was lying naked on a table, the suit says.
“Ms. Maxwell then took off her own shirt and left on her underwear and started rubbing her breasts against (Epstein's) body, impliedly showing plaintiff what she was expected to do,” the suit says.
Maxwell then told her to take off her clothes and “straddle” Epstein, the suit says.

“The encounter escalated, with defendant and Ms. Maxwell sexually assaulting, battering and abusing plaintiff in various ways and in various locations,” the suit says.
Afterward, Maxwell and Epstein “giddily” told her to come back the next day because she “had lots of potential,” the suit says.
They had her quit her job to become a full-time “masseuse,” the suit says, giving Epstein multiple “massages” per day at his various estates around the world.
“Often, plaintiff was joined by Ms. Maxwell, Ms. Maxwell's assistant, and or/a countless array of young women who would be brought to one of defendant's homes,” the suit says.
Court papers filed in federal court in Florida last month say Maxwell was the one who arranged for Roberts to have sexual trysts with Prince Andrew, who’s fifth in line for the British throne.
One of the three trysts took place in Maxwell’s London’s apartment, that filing says. The prince has denied the charges.
The 2009 Florida federal courtsuit, which did not name Maxwell as a defendant, was settled for an undisclosed sum.

Court papers filed in federal court in December accuse Ghislaine Maxwell of arranging for Virginia Roberts to have sexual trysts with Prince Andrew (pictured).
Maxwell, who was among the notables at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding in 2010, appeared teary when asked about the allegations Thursday outside of her East Side apartment.
“Thanks for sharing,” she said.
She referred a reporter to an earlier statement she made about the “madam” allegations being “abhorrent and entirely untrue.”
Epstein, 61, is alleged to have preyed on dozens of underage girls in the late 90s and early 2000s, but pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor in just one case in state court in 2008. He served 13 months in lockup, and is a registered sex offender.
Roberts is now one of four women challenging the feds' decision not to prosecute Epstein, 61.
Maxwell is the daughter of late media baron Robert Maxwell, who owned the Daily News for a brief period of time before his death in 1991. He died in the Atlantic Ocean after falling off his yacht, Lady Ghislaine.

Hillary Clinton (http://pagesix.com/tag/hillary-clinton/) is “furious” at husband Bill Clinton (http://pagesix.com/tag/bill-clinton/), according to Washington insiders, after his name came up in the latest sex scandal involving his disgraced former pal *Jeffrey Epstein (http://pagesix.com/tag/jeffrey-epstein/).
Sources at the funeral of Mario Cuomo (http://nypost.com/tag/mario-cuomo/') also said they saw a peevish-looking Hillary angrily “storm” past the former president after he dutifully waited for her by the door of St. Ignatius Loyola Church.
“Talk in Washington is that Hillary is furious with Bill about all this new information on Jeffrey Epstein,” said a DC insider familiar with both Epstein and the Clintons.
Bill’s name has popped up in 2011 court documents relating to Epstein after a woman said to be Virginia Roberts filed a bombshell suit alleging she was Epstein’s teen “sex slave” (http://pagesix.com/2015/01/08/epstein-rendezvoused-with-sex-slave-before-pimping-her-out/) and paid $15,000 to bed Epstein’s pal (http://pagesix.com/2015/01/05/teen-sex-toy-says-she-got-cash-for-bedding-prince-andrew/), Britain’s Prince Andrew (http://pagesix.com/tag/prince-andrew/).
The 2011 court docs reveal that 21 e-mail *addresses and phone numbers for Bill and an aide were found (http://pagesix.com/2015/01/06/bill-clinton-tied-to-sex-offender-in-sex-slave-case/) in Epstein’s electronic black book, and that Bill “frequently flew” with Epstein on his private plane from 2002 to 2005. But the papers say he then “suddenly stopped, raising the suspicion that the friendship abruptly ended, perhaps because of events related to Epstein’s sexual abuse of children.”
Witnesses at Cuomo’s funeral on Tuesday told Page Six that Bill was “waiting by the front door for a long time” before the ceremony. “People assumed he was waiting for Matilda Cuomo. But then Hillary came storming in right past him.” Bill, the spy said, had been waiting for his wife, who didn’t look too happy with him.
The 2011 court records also revealed that lawyers for two of Epstein’s alleged victims were considering subpoenaing Bill in a civil case against Epstein. But he was not deposed.
Asked for comment, Hill’s rep snapped, “Utter nonsense.” Bill’s rep made a customarily snide comment. Buckingham Palace has strongly denied allegations against the prince.

January 11-13, 2015 -- As previously reported by WMR, Hillary sees White House chances go down the drain

As previously reported by WMR, not only has GOP presidential hopeful Jeb Bush seen his White House chances damaged by the Jeffrey Epstein underage sex slave scandal, but Democratic frontrunner for her party's presidential nomination, Hillary Clinton, is reportedly "furious" with her husband Bill Clinton for his involvement in the scandal.

Mrs. Clinton's early political life was dominated by her commitment to the rights of children. It will all but destroy Mrs. Clinton's presidential hopes if her husband's involvement in the Epstein sex slave ring are proven in court. Bill Clinton has been named as a materiel witness in a lawsuit brought by two of the women who were trafficked by Epstein when they were underage. The women claim that Epstein, a billionaire Wall Street financier, trafficked them domestically and internationally for sexual trysts. Clinton and Harvard celebrity attorney Alan Dershowitz, a vocal defender of Israel, have been named in the lawsuit as Epstein accomplices.

A number of email addresses for Mr. Clinton and 21 private phone numbers for the ex-president, his personal assistant Doug Band, and his schedulers were discovered in Epstein's personal phone directory. Mr. Clinton made a number of trips with Epstein on his private plane from 2002 to 2005. After Epstein, who is currently a registered sex offender, was charged in 2005 with soliciting a 14-year old girl for prostitution, Clinton's air jaunts with Epstein abruptly ceased.

Mrs. Clinton's frosty relationship with her husband since the revelations about the Epstein scandal first hit the headlines was on full display at the New York City funeral for former New York Governor Mario Cuomo. Mrs. Clinton quite visibly stormed past her husband who was already waiting for her at St. Ignatius Loyola Church before the service began. For Hillary Clinton, her husband's alleged involvement in an underage sex ring could not have come at a worst time. She is already facing the real possibility of challenges from the left and center. Former Virginia Senator Jim Webb has announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination while Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is under pressure from the progressive wing of the Democratic Party to make a run for the Oval Office.

Meanwhile, Jeb Bush, who recently resigned from a number of corporate boards in preparation for a run for the presidency, has also been tainted by the Epstein scandal. Bush was Governor of Florida in 2005 when Epstein was first charged with having sex with a 14-year old girl. And it was Bush's administration and his Attorney General and successor, Charlie Crist, that first entered into negotiations with Epstein's lawyers, who included Dershowitz, Miami celebrity lawyer Roy Black, and Bill Clinton special prosecutor Kenneth Starr, to guarantee Epstein a 13-month house arrest sentence. Governor Bush and his brother's Justice Department also helped craft a "Non Prosecution Agreement" (NPA) with Epstein's legal team. The NPA ensured that there would be no future federal charges brought against Epstein or any of his "co-conspirators." It is now known, as a result of the lawsuit filed in federal court in West Palm Beach, Florida that those co-conspirators include Bill Clinton; Dershowitz; and the Duke of York and fifth-in-line for the British throne, Prince Andrew.

Accounts of the Monica Lewinsky scandal suggest that President Clinton promised his wife that there would be no repeat of his actions in order that they did not upset Mrs. Clinton's political ambitions. The recent revelations about Bill Clinton and Epstein have reportedly been the last straw for Mrs. Clinton. Mrs. Clinton can only distance herself from her husband through a divorce, something that her close political advisers are reportedly urging her to do, but such an eventuality would do little to help her presidential chances at this point in time.

The multiple deadly terrorist sieges in Paris only temporarily drove the Epstein sex scandal story off the front pages. However, the Epstein story, which involves a British royal, a former American president, and two presumptive presidential candidates, is not going to disappear anytime soon.

It looks like Jeb Bush is going to be caught up in this scandal too.

Oh! happy days.

Jeffrey Epstein: inside the decade of scandal entangling Prince Andrew

How a telephone call set off a cascade of FBI investigations, secret plea deals and lawsuits from Palm Beach, Florida, to Buckingham Palace as questions resurface over whether the disgraced financier used his wealth and power to elude justice

The desperate woman who telephoned Detective Michele Pagan of the Palm Beach police declined to give her name and would not leave a call-back number. But she had some information that she had to tell someone.

Her stepdaughter, a 14-year-old pupil at Royal Palm Beach high school, had told a friend that she’d had sex with a middle-aged man who gave her money.
The man was said to have long face and bushy eyebrows and he lived in a big house at the end of a dead-end street. His name was Jeff. A teacher found $300 in the 14-year-old’s purse.
That call to police – made 10 years ago this March – soon led Florida detectives to 358 El Brillo Way, a mansion owned by Jeffrey Epstein, one of America’s wealthiest hedge fund tycoons.
A decade later, the cascade of FBI investigations, secret plea deals and lawsuits which followed that telephone call would be felt 4,000 miles away, behind the gates of Buckingham Palace.
The connecting thread was Epstein, now 61, a convicted sex offender and one-time friend of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York. The allegation: that Epstein forced another of his teenage victims into sexual encounters with Andrew on three separate occasions.
The accusation, contained in a court filing first reported by the Guardian and Politico (http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/jan/02/prince-andrew-named-us-lawsuit-underage-sex-allegations), has become headline news across the world this week, even as it was forcefully and repeatedly denied by the Palace.
It has thrown a spotlight on Andrew’s relationship with Epstein and resurfaced questions over whether the disgraced financier used his extraordinary wealth and power to elude justice.
There is no suggestion Andrew ever encountered the 14-year-old – referred to in police incident reports as ‘SG’ – whose stepmother’s call to police triggered the initial investigation into Epstein in 2005.
SG told detectives that Epstein had made her remove her clothes and give him a massage while he masturbated, according to a police report.
Within weeks the FBI was listening to Epstein’s calls, rifling through his trash and searching for other potential victims. They eventually identified around 40.
Assistant US attorney Ann Marie Villafaña relayed a summary of the investigation to Epstein’s counsel in an letter in 2007.
http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2015/1/9/1420845845484/7b619989-c383-470a-ad8d-df60dd8e1bca-460x276.jpegJeffrey Epstein in custody in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 2008. Photograph: Uma Sanghvi/AP“Mr Epstein, through his assistants, would recruit underage females to travel to his home in Palm Beach to engage in lewd conduct in exchange for money,” it said. She added that some of the girls were expected to strip naked and give massages to Epstein while he masturbated, while others had full intercourse with the financier.
“Some of those victims went to Mr Epstein’s home only once,” Villafaña’s letter added. “Some went there as many as 100 times or more.”
One of those girls, referred to by police as AH, told detectives she was recruited by an associate of Epstein who overheard her tell a friend in a clothing store that she could not afford a holiday.
She claimed the erotic massages also led to Epstein asking her to engage sexually with an eastern European woman, Nada Marcinkova – a female member of his entourage allegedly bought from her parents in eastern Europe as a teenager – while he watched.
AH told detectives of her reluctance to go further than erotic massages with Epstein, who she said gave her $1,000 and a car. However, she recounted one incident during which Epstein “bent me over the table and put himself in me” without her permission. AH said Epstein stopped after she screamed ‘no’, but she was so sore after the incident that she had difficulty walking to her car.
When police eventually raided Epstein’s mansion, they discovered one of AH’s high school transcripts along with a container of peach flavoured “Joy Jelly” lubricant and Amazon receipts for explicit books such as Slave Craft: Roadmap For Erotic Servitude Principles.
There were dozens of stories from potential victims like AH and SG. An attorney who advised Epstein at the time said prosecutors did not believe AH to be credible.
But the accounts from around 40 Florida girls who said they were molested by Epstein were numerous and overlapping.
Despite this, the US government eventually agreed to allow Epstein to plead guilty to just one count of soliciting prostitution from an underage girl under Florida state law. In the end, he served just 13 months of an 18-month jail sentence.
The circumstances that led up to that secret plea agreement have proved an enduring controversy. Epstein agreed not to contest civil claims brought by the 40 women identified by the FBI, but escaped a prosecution that could have seen him jailed for the rest of his life.
Prosecutors agreed not to bring far more serious federal charges against Epstein, and not to charge “potential co-conspirators”, including Marcinova and three other named individuals.
Clearly, prosecutors had questions about the credibility of some of the teenage witnesses – doubts that were exacerbated when Epstein’s lawyers and private investigators dug up dirt on their Myspace and Facebook pages (http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jan/08/alan-dershowitz-girl-jeffrey-epstein-teenager).
Yet Michael Reiter, the former Palm Beach police chief, believed Epstein had received “very unusual” treatment in the deal, negotiated between officials in the US Department of Justice and a fleet of the best lawyers money could buy.
However in a six-year legal battle, which is still ongoing, lawyers for some of those victims are challenging the plea agreement, which they say was negotiated without their knowledge and therefore violated their rights as victims.
At the very least, documents released through litigation suggest prosecutors cooperated with Epstein’s lawyers to keep the deal under wraps.
Using her personal Gmail account, for example, Villafaña proposed to one of Epstein’s lawyers that they could file associated legal papers in a different jurisdiction, a move she said “will hopefully cut the press coverage significantly”. Villafaña declined to comment on that email this week.
Epstein’s adversaries have long suspected that the hedge fund manager somehow used his influence to lobby for a “sweetheart” deal with prosecutors that protected him and his associates from serving significant jail time.
No evidence has been publicly unearthed to substantiate that theory, although Epstein’s private contacts book, seized by police, leaves no doubt he was once supremely well-connected.
There is no suggestion any of the individuals named in the book participated in or knew of Epstein’s abuse of minors, or were involved in any effort to pressure prosecutors.
But Epstein’s contacts book – seen by the Guardian – reads like a directory of the world’s global elite.
Under the letter B alone are listed Tony Blair, Michael Bloomberg, and Richard Branson. Elsewhere there are multiple contacts – typically at offices, homes, and via aides’ mobile phones – for Bill Clinton, Rupert Murdoch, Donald Trump, Dustin Hoffman, Naomi Campbell, and dozens of other A-listers.
The name that appears on page 31, opposite an entry for Formula 1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone, looks innocuous alongside the directory of world-renowned figures. Epstein had 16 separate telephone numbers listed for this particular friend: Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.

Photograph: Hugh Routledge/RexOf all Epstein’s glamorous and influential friends, none has had their reputation as tarnished by their association with the disgraced financier as badly as the Queen’s second son.
The prince’s relationship with the playboy hedge fund manager had for years been cited as evidence of his poor judgment and it contributed, three years ago, to the termination of Andrew’s cherished role as an official UK trade envoy.
Andrew and Epstein made curious acquaintances. While Andrew benefited from the privilege bestowed by a British royal title, Epstein’s ascent is a classic American success story.
He was born in a rough Brooklyn neighbourhood, and never obtained a college degree. In 1976, he was plucked from a seemingly ordinary life (http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jan/02/jeffrey-epstein-rise-and-fall-of-teacher-turned-tycoon) as a mathematics teacher at a Manhattan private school in 1976 and given a job at the investment bank Bear Stearns.
Within six years he was working on his own, managing the portfolios of an exclusive – and secret – club of plutocrats said to only include billionaires. The scale of Epstein’s own net worth has long been a mystery, although the financier made little effort to conceal how he was spending his fortune.
Epstein became a major philanthropist, spending millions on science projects at Harvard University, and was famous for his extravagant parties. He was a modern-day Great Gatsby, enjoying bringing together film stars, property magnates and political leaders.
Andrew reportedly met Epstein in the 1990s after being introduced by Ghislaine Maxwell, the daughter of the the media mogul Robert Maxwell who, at the time, was the financier’s girlfriend.
The friendship returned to haunt Andrew this week courtesy of one the dozens of women the FBI identified as one Epstein’s potential victims: Virginia Roberts. Like dozens of the other teenagers, Roberts sued Epstein; the civil claim she lodged in a Florida court six years ago told a familiar story of exploitation.
Roberts was working for $9 an hour as a changing room assistant at Trump’s Mar-A-Lago beach club, where her father was a maintenance manager, when she claims she was recruited to work as a masseuse for Epstein. She claims the invitation came courtesy of Maxwell. It was 1998, and Roberts was 15 years old.
Her civil suit, in which Roberts is referred to as Jane Doe 102, alleged that Ghislaine Maxwell, now 53, and Epstein quickly began grooming her for sex. Despite being told by Epstein, on the cusp of her 16th birthday, that “he would soon have to trade her in because she was getting too old”, Roberts alleged she was thrust into a life of sexual servitude that lasted until 2002, when she fled to Thailand aged 19.
But in one important way Roberts’ allegations differ from those of many of the other Florida teenage girls who say they were victims of Epstein. Her lawsuit states that she was co-opted into Epstein’s inner-circle, flown by private jet to his ranch in New Mexico, his Caribbean island, and his 51,000-square-foot mansion in New York, reputedly the largest residence in Manhattan.
During the four years she claimed to have been a fixture in Epstein’s hedonistic world, she claimed she saw Epstein and his close associates abuse women from across the world, including three French 12-year-olds who she alleged were sent to him as a birthday present. That lawsuit did not identify any alleged perpetrators other than Maxwell and Epstein.
But Roberts’ lawsuit did imply there was more to her story. One elliptical reference alleged that Epstein “required” her to be sexually exploited by “politicians, academicians, businessmen”. These men were described in the document as Epstein’s “adult male peers, including royalty”. Epstein and Roberts settled the lawsuit out of court, with Epstein paying Roberts – just as he paid a series of other girls who were suing him – an undisclosed sum in compensation.
Her cryptic allegation about “royalty” may never have been clarified were it not for the 13-page document submitted to Florida’s southern district last week.
That court filing related to the long-running lawsuit in which lawyers for some of the victims are challenging Epstein’s controversial plea deal. It was being brought by two women, Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2. Roberts’s lawyers wanted her and another woman – listed as Jane Doe 3 and Jane Doe 4 – to be added as new plaintiffs.
The document briefly argued the case – and summarised the two women’s allegations. That summary elaborated on the claims that Roberts had made, in her 2009 lawsuit, about being loaned out by Epstein to rich and powerful men.
The court filing alleged that Epstein forced Roberts “to have sexual relations” on three separate occasions with “a member of the British Royal Family, Prince Andrew (a/k/a Duke of York)”. The encounters are alleged to have happened in New York, at Maxwell’s London home and in the US Virgin Islands as part of an “orgy with numerous other under-aged girls”.
Referred to as a “minor” in the document, Roberts is understood to have been aged 17 at the time she alleges the encounters took place. Epstein allegedly instructed Roberts “to give the prince whatever he required” and report back on the details of “the sexual abuse”.
“Epstein’s purposes in ‘lending’ Jane Doe (along with other young girls) to such powerful people were to ingratiate himself with them for business, personal, political, and financial gain,” the document alleged, “as well as to obtain potential blackmail information”.
Strenuous denials

The Guardian contacted Buckingham Palace on Thursday last week, a day before it intended to publish its first article about the allegations about Andrew. That evening a Palace spokesperson emailed a reporter, declining the opportunity to respond. “The Royal Household would never comment on an ongoing legal matter,” she said.
http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2015/1/9/1420846003618/3160c045-d9a8-4215-a8aa-3ccc6e7ac168-460x276.jpegBuckingham Palace has been employing staff on zero-hours contracts. Photograph: David Noton Photography/AlamyAfter the Guardian published the article, however, there was a dramatic reversal from the Palace, which issued the first in what turned out to be a flurry of statements forcefully denying the allegations as “categorically untrue”.
The Palace later again denied “any form of sexual contact or relationship” between Andrew and Roberts, adding: “The allegations made are false and without any foundation.”
Maxwell also dismissed the allegations, which she said were “not new and have been fully responded to and shown to be untrue”. The statement released on her behalf added: “Ghislaine Maxwell’s original response to the lies and defamatory claims remains the same.”
Yet by then British newspapers were delving back into the story, republishing interviews Roberts had given in 2011 in which she detailed her encounters with Andrew but stopped short of alleging sexual contact.
http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2015/1/10/1420894810721/df750829-a6e8-429e-a067-5759c1ace7b8-317x420.jpegVirginia Roberts, in Colorado on Saturday 3 January. Photograph: Karl Larsen/Karl Larsen/Coleman-RaynerThe stories were accompanied by a photograph, said to have been taken in 2001 at Maxwell’s London home, where Roberts alleged her first sexual encounter with the prince occurred. The image showed Andrew grinning with his arm around the 17-year-old’s midriff; Maxwell, also smiling, is in the background.
That image raises obvious questions for Andrew. Yet the strength of the denials issued by the Palace this week has not been matched by a willingness to address the details of the allegations made by Roberts. The Palace has declined to say, for example, why Andrew was in the company of a 17-year-old masseuse working for Epstein at Maxwell’s home.
The Palace also refuses to answer questions about Andrew’s friendship with Epstein, or confirm the several occasions the two men appear to have partied together.
Those reported encounters between Epstein and Andrew, some of which appear to be corroborated by flight logs for Epstein’s private planes, which have been reviewed by the Guardian, stretch back more than a decade. They include parties at Windsor Castle and Sandringham, the Queen’s Norfolk estate, an exclusive dinner in St Tropez and a holiday in Thailand when Andrew was pictured on a yacht surrounded by topless women.
Indeed, the Palace has never offered a public explanation for Andrew’s most controversial meeting with Epstein, which occurred in New York in 2011. That was two years after Epstein had been released from prison. He was, by then, a registered sex offender, and though some celebrities were still willing to be seen with him, he’d been abandoned by many of the more influential figures he previously called his friends.
Andrew’s face-to-face meeting with Epstein might have remained secret had the pair not decided to go for a stroll in Central Park, where they were photographed by a tabloid newspaper.
Court cases

In the seven days since Roberts’s allegations were made public, pressure has mounted on Andrew to provide a more detailed explanation of the extent and nature of his friendship with Epstein.
That is partly because of the strategy adopted by another prominent figure, Harvard lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who faced similar accusations from Roberts in the same court filing.
Dershowitz’s denials were just as emphatic as those emanating from the Palace. But they were also considerably more detailed. Dershowitz also submitted himself to questioning from journalists – including five telephone conversations with the Guardian – and vowed to fight the allegations in court.
By Tuesday he had launched a legal bid to formally strike the “outrageous and impertinent” claims about him containing in court filing, promised imminent defamation proceedings against Roberts and her lawyers, in both US and English courts, and submitted a sworn affidavit denying the accusations.
http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2015/1/9/1420844907263/9a0d4999-e174-4b55-b568-41152c7f4eba-460x276.jpegAttorney and law professor Alan Dershowitz discusses allegations of sex with an underage girl levelled against him, during an interview at his home in Miami Beach.Photograph: Andrew Innerarity/Reuters“If they’re innocent, they should do what I’m doing,” Dershowitz told the Guardian when asked if others accused by Roberts should follow suit. “You can’t do what I’m doing unless you’re 100% certain of your innocence.”
Dershowitz quickly added that someone in Andrew’s position may be innocent and decide it “would be undignified to respond” in the same way.
Yet the aggressive legal strategy adopted by Dershowitz, a renowned criminal attorney who once served on the legal team advising OJ Simpson – who has occasionally written opinion pieces for the Guardian (http://www.theguardian.com/profile/alandershowitz) – raises the stakes for all involved.
Roberts’ lawyers appear willing to meet Dershowitz head on, filing their own, counter-defamation suit against the Harvard lawyer (http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jan/06/alan-dershowitz-underage-sex-accusations). Both sides are on a collision course, apparently determined to see the dispute resolved in court.
That opens the possibility that Roberts – and, perhaps, Andrew – could be called as witnesses.
It is just one of several civil proceedings that could results in Roberts taking the stand. Her lawyers are believed to be considering whether to submit a criminal complaint in the US Virgin Islands or London, a move that could trigger a fresh criminal investigation.
French model scout

There was one name in Roberts’ court filing that escaped the public attention heaped on others: Jean Luc Brunel.
Brunel, who is French and in his 60s, is the co-founder of of MC2 Model Management, a Miami-based modelling agency with offices in New York and Tel Aviv. A well-known model scout since the 1970s, Brunel is credited with launching the careers of Milla Jovovich, Christy Turlington and Sharon Stone.
But his career has sometimes been marred by controversy. A CBS 60 Minutes documentary once accused Brunel of sexually exploiting young women, an allegation he denied.
But Brunel’s close friendship with Epstein has never been in doubt. The model scout’s name appears frequently in the flight logs kept for Epstein’s private jets and prison records show he visited Epstein 67 times when he was in jail.
The 30 December court filing relaying Roberts’ allegations, however, went further than the innuendo previously that has occasionally surrounded Brunel’s friendship with Epstein. It explicitly alleged that Epstein was effectively exploiting Brunel’s access to young women for the purposes of sex trafficking.
“He would bring young girls (ranging to ages as young as twelve) to the United States for sexual purposes and farm them out to his friends, especially Epstein,” the filing states. “Brunel would offer the girls ‘modeling’ jobs. Many of the girls came from poor countries or impoverished backgrounds, and he lured them in with a promise of making good money.”
Roberts alleged she was forced to have sex with Brunel, too, and was made to “observe” the French model scout engaging in “sexual acts with dozens of underage girls”.
The Guardian made repeated attempts to contact Brunel to afford him them the opportunity to respond to the allegations of impropriety, including those contained in the 30 December court filing. He did not respond.
Unimaginable luxury

Whatever the truth of the allegations, Epstein’s friendship with Brunel certainly gave him access to the glamorous world of international modelling.

It chimed with Epstein’s reputation, cultivated through the early 2000s, as an international playboy with an intercontinental property portfolio, his own personal Gulfstream II and Boeing 727, a profile in Vanity Fair, and an apparently loyal coterie of beautiful young women that skirted the line.
“I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,” Donald Trump told New York magazine (http://nymag.com/nymetro/news/people/n_7912/#print) in October 2002. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”
However, when it came to female associates, the evidence now suggests Epstein cultivated two separate spheres that rarely overlapped.
One – restricted to a small group of women co-opted as permanent fixtures in Epstein’s entourage – was rooted in that world of almost unimaginable luxury.
The other comprised working-class Palm Beach teenagers who told police they were enticed into giving massages and sometimes more at Epstein’s mansion with the promise of cash.
Lawyers for SG, the 14-year-old whose stepmother initially triggered the investigation into Epstein, for example, accused Epstein in a lawsuit of cynically seeking out “economically disadvantaged underage girls” who would be “less likely to complain to authorities or have credibility if allegations of improper conduct were made”.
Conflicting accounts

The story SG told police back in 2005 became grimly familiar. A rebellious type hailing from Palm Beach’s grittier west side, she told detectives she was recruited by Haley Robson, an 18-year-old working for Epstein.
Robson, one of the four named “potential co-conspirators” who were shielded from prosecution under Epstein’s plea agreement, told police she was “like a Heidi Fleiss”, the notorious Hollywood “madam” who claimed to procure women for rich and influential men in the movie industry.
Teenagers told police that after being transported to the mansion by Robson, they were met by another aide, Sarah Kellen, another named “potential co-conspirator” in the plea deal. A chef would often make them something to eat. Then, after being led by Kellen past walls adorned by pictures of naked women, they would arrive at an upstairs room where paid-for massages would allegedly descend into sexual abuse.

Photograph: Sipa Press/Rex FeaturesReached on the telephone this week, Robson declined to discuss what she called “all the Epstein stuff”. “I’ve moved past all that,” she said. “I have a child now. I’m not interested in speaking about it.”
Guy Fronstin, an attorney for Epstein, told police during the 2005 investigation that there had been a horrible misunderstanding. His client was simply “passionate about massages”, Fronstin said, pointing to a $100,000 donation to the Florida state ballet to pay for massage therapy. “The massages are therapeutic and spiritually sound for him,” Fronstin said. “That is why he has had many massages.”
That explanation stood in contrast to the account of Alfredo Rodriguez, a former housekeeper at the Palm Beach mansion, who told police that “he felt there was a lot more going on than just massages” given the cleanup operation that typically awaited him afterwards.
Rodriguez’s credibility as a witness was undermined after he was convicted for trying to sell a stolen copy of Epstein’s contact book to lawyers for some of the young girls.
Prior to that, he had described Epstein’s guests as “very young” and explained how he was ordered to keep at least $2,000 in cash on him at all times to pay for Epstein’s twice-daily massages. He felt like a “human ATM”, he told police. Rodriguez said he once had to deliver a dozen red roses to AG at school.
Epstein showed a different level of reward to the few who were permitted access to his inner circle.
If Roberts’ allegations are to believed, she was one of them. Another was Johanna Sjoberg, who alleges she was also recruited by Maxwell, when she was a student in Palm Beach, and became captivated by the luxurious lifestyle.
“I made a pact with the devil in exchange for excitement and glamour,” Sjoberg told an interviewer (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-483401/Prince-Andrews-friend-Ghislaine-Maxwell-underage-girls-disturbing-story.html) in 2007.
Like Roberts, Sjoberg spoke of being persuaded to progress from a routine massage to more intimate activity. She said Epstein flew her to the Caribbean retreat, advising there would be “sex stuff” going on.
Sjoberg, who was already in her early 20s and has said she was surprised at allegations involving Epstein and underage girls, later visited his New York mansion. “I didn’t grow up poor,” she said, “but I realised there was more money there than I could ever have imagined.”
Epstein’s flight logs show that he took frequent trips to the island with named girls such as Roberts and Sjoberg. According to one account provided by Roberts, Sjoberg was present during her second encounter with Andrew, in New York.
Roberts and Sjoberg are both crucial witnesses in the whole saga. The pair are among the very few one of the few alleged Palm Beach victims to cross over into Epstein’s other world, a place where his chosen women were ferried around the world in the company of presidents and princes.
Sjoberg, now 35 and running a beauty salon, declined this week to talk further about her experiences.
Roberts is now 30, a mother of three, and married. Since the contents of her lawyers’ court filing was made public last week, she is believed to have gone into hiding in Colorado.
Her only public statement about the affair was the one she issued to the Guardian after Maxwell, Dershowitz and the Andrew issued their fervent denials.
“I am looking forward to vindicating my rights as an innocent victim and pursuing all available recourse,” she said. “I’m not going to be bullied back into silence.”

Alfredo Rodriguez, the butler of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/prince-andrew-sex-allegations-documents-about-princes-support-for-jeffrey-epstein-concealed-9959218.html), has died, and with him the location of a ‘black book’, which allegedly details “the full scope and the extent of Epstein’s involvement with underage girls”, and contact details of the businessman’s celebrity friends.

Rodriguez died at the age of 60 after suffering from mesothelioma last week, his widow Patricia Dunn told DailyMail.com. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2897939/Houseman-cleaned-pedophile-Jeffrey-Epstein-s-sex-toys-feared-billionaire-make-disappear-takes-secrets-grave.html)
Dunn alleges that her late husband “knew all about Prince Andrew (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/boris-johnson-says-he-has-sympathy-for-prince-andrew-amid-sex-allegations-9960459.html),” who has been named in the current sex scandal centring on Epstein. Allegations levelled at the Prince (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/teenage-sex-slave-virginia-roberts-claims-she-was-paid-10000-by-jeffrey-epstein-to-have-sex-with-prince-andrew-at-london-home-9956338.html) are that he was supplied with a teenage girl who was used by Epstein as a “sex slave”. Buckingham Palace has denied the allegation.
The ‘black book’ that Rodriguez had in his possession is journal in which Epstein is understood to have detailed the girls which attended his properties for “massages” for him and his friends, and details of his celebrity friends and associates who had no connection with alleged offences, including Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.

Rodriguez, who stole the book, claimed he needed it as insurance against the businessman to protect his own life.
The butler failed to tell prosecutors he possessed the book and later refused to hand it over. He was jailed for 18 months for attempting to sell it for $50,000 (£31,000).
In 2011 it emerged that the journal “detailed the full scope and the extent of Epstein’s involvement with underage girls,” according to prosecuting lawyers, who referred to it as “The Holy Grail”.
Rodriguez died on 28 December. The current location of the document has not been disclosed and the Mirror claims (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/tycoon-paedo-jeffrey-epsteins-butler-4930850)Epstein’s lawyers are “petrified” about where it will go, according to a source.

Jean Luc Brunel, who is the boss of a well-known modeling agency in New York, allegedly supplied Jeffrey Epstein (http://www.examiner.com/topic/jeffrey-epstein) with underage girls for an orgy that occurred with Prince Andrew (http://www.examiner.com/topic/prince-andrew), according to court documents. Brunel has reportedly been accused of recruiting underage models to have sex with some of his powerful friends, says Page Six (http://pagesix.com/2015/01/09/modeling-honcho-allegedly-gave-epstein-young-models-for-orgy/) on Friday night. A lawsuit claims that Epstein took some teenage girls to his private island in the Caribbean. He then ordered the girls to have sex with Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.

Wikipedia
According to a lawsuit which was reported upon byThe Times of London (http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/news/uk/article4319316.ece) on Friday, Epstein - who allegedly provided a 17-year-old sex slave named Virginia Roberts from 1999 to 2002 - is now accused of involvement with other teen girls within his escapades. Brunel, described as a honcho in the fashion industry, had a topless photo shoot with underage models from Russia, according to accusations by Roberts. Some of the underage girls were as young as 12 years old, and they were reportedly provided to Brunel's friends, persons such as Epstein. This information is available in court documents regarding the case.
Ms. Roberts also claims that she had to have sexual relations with Brunel. She said that Epstein forced her to have the relations with Brunel - who is the co-founder of MC2 Model Management - at his West Palm Beach, Florida home. Additionally, she claims she was forced to have relations with him in New York, California and other select locations. Beyond that, she says that Epstein made her watch while he, Brunel and a socialite named Ghislaine Maxwell had relations with dozens of other girls who were underage. One report suggests that Epstein had young models stay in apartments near his Upper East Side mansion which is reportedly one of the places Roberts was told to engage in relations with Prince Andrew.
It was reported that Brunel visited Epstein some 67 times when he was put in jail. He was said to have been in jail for soliciting sex from a minor. Brunel has asserted in the past that he discovered such famed women in the modeling world as Sharon Stone and Jerry Hall. For the record, models claimed that they were drugged and raped approximately 25 years ago and through the years Prince Andrew has denied the stories about his involvement with the underage girls.
Previously, this week, it was reported that Hillary Clinton is livid with her husband, former-President Bill Clinton (http://www.examiner.com/topic/bill-clinton), after his name was linked to the most recent sex scandal involving Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein is now being described as Bill Clinton’s disgraced former friend. Insiders say that Mrs. Clinton was none too happy with her husband when the two attended Mario Cuomo’s funeral at St. Ignatius Loyola Church this past week. Of course, given the infamous Monica Lewinsky story of Bill Clinton in the White House, Hillary Clinton has had more than one wife’s share of embarrassment and frustration over a husband’s alleged sexually-disgraced past.

ory, which involves a British royal, a former American president, and two presumptive presidential candidates, is not going to disappear anytime soon.

It looks like Jeb Bush is going to be caught up in this scandal too.

Oh! happy days.

Oh good news. All the better for Elizabeth Warren then. Maybe real hope and change will come after all....?

One thing that I have always thought odd was the loan to Fergie to pay off her debts. I think it was around 15,000 pounds. To me that is no big deal and don't know why Buck Palace admin couldn't have dealt with that. Why did he borrow such a measley amount from such a sleazy character? Why not ask mum for a loan?

VIP protection officers always turn a blind eye to everything they see. It's not so much a blind eye to be fair, but they are covered by the Official Secrets Act and cannot speak out publicly. Who knows what they report (or complain about?) to their superiors?

Prince Andrew's bodyguards were accused yesterday of turning a blind eye during his visits to a paedophile friend's 'house of sin'.
Protection officers accompanied the royal to Jeffrey Epstein's Florida mansion where he allegedly partied with naked young women.
Juan Alessi, who was Epstein's butler for 11 years, said: 'Andrew was with security. He had his two bodyguards from Scotland Yard. I can remember their names.
'The bodyguards were off duty and they slept in one of the guest bedrooms.'
Hundreds of under-age girls are said to have been abused at Epstein's mansion and one woman says she was forced by the shamed financier to have sex with Andrew when she was 17, which is below the age of consent in Florida.

The prince fiercely denies having any sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts, now 30.
But there were calls yesterday for Scotland Yard to investigate whether Andrew's protection officers suspected or witnessed any criminal activity at Epstein's homes.
A royalty protection source said: 'Epstein's Florida mansion appears to have resembled a five-star brothel. And Epstein behaved like a pimp.
'I would have expected protection officers to have advised the duke to leave immediately.
'If they did not, the big question is why? The problem is that protection officers are very well paid – some get up to £80,000 a year which is double their basic pay – because of overtime and special allowances.

'They can sometimes forget they are working for the police, not the royal household. Challenging a royal about their conduct, or the people they are mixing with, can result in a loss of trust and their removal from a very lucrative job.'
Dai Davies, a former head of the protection unit, said the prince's bodyguards might be able to corroborate his account that he never had sexual relations with his accuser in 2001.
But he added: 'I would have expected Prince Andrew to have been severely warned on the dangers of liaising with Epstein. This is an extraordinary case. I would have expected officers in royalty protection to bring matters to senior officers' attention far earlier.'
Caroline Pidgeon, Lib Dem deputy chairman of the London Assembly police and crime committee, said: 'If royal protection security staff ever suspect that criminal activity is taking place at a venue they are present at, they have an obligation to take action. Turning a blind eye should never be an option.'

Virginia Roberts, now 30, claims she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was 17, which is below the age of consent in Florida

Jenny Jones, the Green deputy chairman of the same committee, said: 'The Met Commissioner should look into this as a matter of urgency.
'These are under-age sex allegations and I do have a problem with officers – that we, as taxpayers, fund – going to events like these alleged parties.
'The Commissioner needs to start asking questions about what these officers saw and what Prince Andrew did or didn't get up to.'
A spokesman for the Labour group on the London Assembly said Scotland Yard had 'serious questions to answer'.
He added: 'Those being protected at public expense have a responsibility to consider the situations they are placing those public servants in and a duty to ensure their actions do not bring their protection officers into disrepute. If what you've been told is true there are serious questions to be asked as it would appear to be an inappropriate position to put these protection officers in.'
But Peter Prentice, who headed the royalty protection squad at the time of the Epstein parties, has defended the 'laissez faire' approach, saying it was 'not an offence for a man or woman to be naked in a private house'.
He also suggested he would 'not expect a protection officer to question ages' of young girls because of the difficulties involved.
'Every day of the week, clubs or bars are being fooled and duped,' added the retired chief superintendent.
'Protection officers are there purely to ensure their [the royals'] safety. Their role does not include questions of morality. The only compromise to this is, of course, if there is a question of legality. Then I would expect the protection officer to take advice from a senior officer or supervisor.'

Mr Prentice said no officer approached him with concerns about Andrew's conduct when he led the protection squad from 1998 to 2005.
'If a protection officer comes to a supervisor [about a royal's behaviour] we would advise them and not turn a blind eye,' he added. 'But if you never hear of anything you don't know if a blind eye has been turned [by the protection officer].' Andrew was pictured with Epstein in February 2011 after the billionaire was released from jail after serving time for paedophile offences.
The ensuing scandal forced the prince to cut his ties with the American.
But the controversy was reignited last week by the release of US court papers on the Epstein case.
In the files, Miss Roberts claims Epstein forced her to have sex with Andrew three times in 2001 – in London, New York and on the billionaire's Caribbean island.
She and other alleged victims want to overturn a deal that Epstein struck with federal prosecutors that saw him jailed for 18 months in 2008 for under-age sex offences.
Buckingham Palace has repeatedly insisted that for Andrew 'any suggestion of impropriety with under-age minors is categorically untrue'.
Mr Alessi confirmed that Miss Roberts, who is a mother of three, was a visitor to Epstein's Palm Beach mansion. His comments come from unpublished extracts of an interview with the Daily Mail in 2011.

Hundreds of under-age girls are said to have been abused at Epstein's mansion, including Ms Roberts (pictured)

Security sources suggest that Andrew's gallivanting around the world with Epstein, 61, cost taxpayers well over half a million pounds of public money.
The duke allegedly spent several weeks at Epstein's Florida mansion and also visited his sumptuous property in New York and shared holidays with him in Thailand, New Mexico and the Caribbean.
Sources confirmed the total bill in the decade up to 2011 is conservatively estimated to be £500,000.
The figure is made up of business class air fares, hotel bills, salaries and overtime. Epstein has branded all his accusers liars and gold diggers.
Scotland Yard declined to comment when asked whether royalty protection officers had raised concerns about Prince Andrew's conduct with Epstein or about his visits to the paedophile's Palm Beach mansion.
It said: 'We do not discuss matters of security and protection.'
Mr Prentice insisted it was not true that the generous pay protection officers receive would make them reluctant to jeopardise their position by challenging the behaviour of a royal or reporting it to a senior officer.
'That's high risk. When the truth comes out – and it always comes out - their days are numbered,' he said.

Oh dear... pictures of Ghislaine and the Duke in "compromising positions"...

From The Needle:

Ghislaine Maxwell And The Son Of A Duke. (http://theneedleblog.wordpress.com/2015/01/08/ghislaine-maxwell-and-the-son-of-a-duke/)

“A sinister phone caller said that if we continued with our “campaign” against the kinky MP [Harvey Proctor] he would reveal compromising details of an alleged relationship between Mr Maxwell’s daughter Ghislaine and the son of a Duke.” The People 10/26/1986

The Duke of Rutland, apparently…
One wonders what Prince Andrew, son of the Duke of Edinburgh and who is friends with Ghislaine Maxwell, might have to say…

Given the 1986 dateline of the above article, I'm starting to ponder the possible motives for Maxwell's death - given his cash strapped situation at the time. Yes, I'm fairly sure the British or US intel gave the order to toss him overboard, but the question remains why?

For the record, Harvey Proctor MP, on of "gay spanking parties with boys" stood trial for "sex offences of a sad masochistic nature against teenage boys and was forced to resign." (see HERE (http://www.tpuc.org/blair-covering-up-paedophile-scandal/) and HERE) (http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/april/16/newsid_2524000/2524727.stm).

Some further commentary by The Needle blog on the Maxwell blackmail.

Blackmail: The Maxwells, Harvey Proctor, And The Marquis Of Granby (https://theneedleblog.wordpress.com/2015/01/09/blackmail-the-maxwells-harvey-proctor-and-the-marquis-of-granby/) https://theneedleblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/people261086.jpg?w=219&h=274 (https://theneedleblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/people261086.jpg)
As I mentioned earlier in the week HERE (https://theneedleblog.wordpress.com/2015/01/08/ghislaine-maxwell-and-the-son-of-a-duke/), The People ran a story in 1986 about an attempt to pressure Robert Maxwell into halting its reportage of the Harvey Proctor scandal.
“A sinister phone caller said that if we continued with our “campaign” against the kinky MP [Harvey Proctor] he would reveal compromising details of an alleged relationship between Mr Maxwell’s daughter Ghislaine and the son of a Duke.” The People 10/26/1986
The “son of a Duke” that The People named was David Charles Robert Manners, the then Marquis of Granby and now the 11th Duke of Rutland, who is quoted as describing the allegations as “nonsense”.
And I believe he is absolutely correct, I think this allegation regarding David Manners is complete nonsense but whose nonsense ?
Now, I was reminded yesterday that Harvey Proctor works for David Manners the Duke of Rutland and currently lives on the Belvoir Castle estate in Leicestershire.
Think about that.
You can either believe that a blackmail attempt was made threatening to expose a relationship between Ghislaine Maxwell and David Manners if Robert Maxwell didn’t stop publishing stories regarding Harvey Proctor and that coincidently David Manners now employs Harvey Proctor…
Or you can accept that something else is going on here.
Lets look at at this issue from Robert Maxwell’s perspective. The People are at the time running a series of exposés concerning the sexual proclivities of Harvey Proctor and he receives a clumsy blackmail threat that if he doesn’t stop then it will be made public that his daughter Ghislaine is having a relationship with “the son of a Duke” and that such an exposé would be extremely embarrassing, perhaps the “the son of a Duke” in question is recently married, who knows.
And let’s say, for arguments sake, that the person making this clumsy blackmail threat wouldn’t want the friendly relationship between Harvey Proctor and the Marquis of Granby to become public and Robert Maxwell knows this.
In that context this story makes perfect sense. This story could then be viewed as a brutal but clever way of, on the one hand defusing the blackmail threat by appearing to be open about it, while at the same time subtly turning the tables on the person who has made the threat.

The British media are reporting this morning that extracts of Virginia Roberts sex slave diary details her affairs with Prince Andrew have been published online in the US. Typical, but they don't provide a link or identify the website where the publication occurred. However, a bit of digging shows it was a website called radaronline.com (http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2015/01/jeffrey-epstein-sex-slave-virginia-roberts-writes-sex-prince-andrew/) - which I know nothing about.

I am posting their webpage on this with the usual caution about reliability? i haven't the time this morning to delete the adverts (repeatedly listed as photos) so beware of those too. If these are genuine Virginia Roberts diary extracts, and if she, herself, is to be believed (?), then the denials of Buckingham Palace are in trouble.

The never-before-seen diary of a teenage “sex slave” spells out the “fearful” moment when she was coldly ordered to allow Britain’s Prince Andrew (http://radaronline.com/category/tags/Prince-Andrew/) to have sex with her.
In a bombshell world exclusive, RadarOnline.com has exclusively obtained the secret journal of the then 17-year-old employed to have sex with billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein (http://radaronline.com/category/tags/Jeffrey-Epstein/) and his rich and powerful pals — and it’s packed with scandalous claims about her illicit trysts, including with Andrew, the fifth in line to the British throne.
In 24 jaw-dropping pages, Virginia Roberts (http://radaronline.com/category/tags/Virginia-Roberts/) details the whirlwind 2001 sex trip she took with Epstein, and she dishes the dirt on how her master passed her off for a night of sordid sex with the British royal.

Epstein and his right-hand woman, Ghislaine Maxwell, who had allegedly fooled Roberts’ parents into believing she was training with them to become a professional masseuse, helped their underage plaything get a passport for the sick vacation.
“I was heading over to my first overseas trip to Europe, 1st stop off Paris, France,” the excited teen wrote.
Once abroad, Roberts’ daily list of chores included “massages, sex, and even dressing [Epstein].”

Radar can also reveal that another important duty called for Roberts to score new sex slaves for her boss, just as she was required to do in the United States. “I would offer [girls] money to come meet my gentlemen friend and tell them I’d show them how to massage,” wrote Roberts.
“I never brought back a girl that ever said no, or didn’t want to participate in an erotic massage.”

From Paris, Roberts traveled to Spain, Morocco and, finally, England. That first night in London, she stayed with her “madam,” Maxwell, who had reportedly recruited her at age 15 to be the “top girl” in Epstein’s twisted harem.
PHOTOS: 25 Moments That Shocked & Rocked 2014 (http://radaronline.com/photos/2014-shocking-moments/photo/838893/)
“The next morning, Ghislaine, chirpy, came into my room,” Roberts chronicled in her diary.
“She sat down next to me, as I was just starting to uncover the sheets and told me told me excitedly we were going shopping because I needed a new dress I could wear to dance with a prince. ‘Wow, what?’ were the first words that popped into my head, not knowing that meant using my body as entertainment for another rich pedophile, or worst, being convinced it was exciting.”

Roberts, feeling insecure, revealed that Epstein and his sick pals could make her feel special, yet terrible at the same time.

“But the way these men adored me, and many others like me, kind of made us feel like we weren’t so awkward after all. That was the nice side to these predators, the other side was learning to accept money to degrade ourselves morally [and] end up another lost girl down a chain of statutory rape victims.”

But Maxwell didn’t seem to care about anything but pleasing Epstein — and Prince Andrew. So she accompanied Roberts to buy everything from expensive dresses and embroidered jeans to makeup and perfume.
After Roberts had showered and got ready in her new clothes, “Ghislaine made it very apparent I needed to be very bubbly and energetic for our special guest tonight as she told me he was expecting me and needed to be royally entertained…we were expecting his royal highness, Prince Andrew.”
Like clockwork, the guest of honor knocked at the door just after 6 p.m., and Maxwell ushered him inside.

“They spoke kindly of his daughters … [and] the conversation turned to me next, starting with Ghislaine playing the ‘guess my age’ game, which was one of her favorite’s among her morally impaired friends,” sniped Roberts.
“He guessed 17 and Ghislaine chuckled, ‘She’ll be too old soon,’ and told him I was really only 16.”
From there the group headed to dinner, where “the Prince’s attention towards me amplified… making eye contact at every given chance and concentrating at my plunging V-neck top,” Roberts recounted.

The titillated Prince later took the teen to Club Tramp, where he grabbed them both an “alcoholic cocktail,” she wrote in the diary obtained by Radar.
“He was the most incredibly hideous dancer I had ever seen and not to mention how embarrassing it was to have to be the one he was smashing pelvics with, even if he was a prince.”

“We only stayed at the club for a little over an hour before his highness was dripping from sweat and ready to embark to another quieter setting, where we could get to know each other better, and from the way he was fondling me on the dance floor, I knew that was a man’s polite way of saying he wanted to intimately get acquainted.”

The randy royal and his young prey soon headed to Maxwell’s private townhouse to get down to business, she recalled.
“I led him into the upstairs bathroom next to the room I was staying in,” revealed Roberts.
“I was doing my best trying to put on a good show for him by slowly undressing and started to pour a bath. The room quickly filled with steam from the hot water as I turned to Andrew and began to kiss his neck and undress him.

In the bath, the two “continued with back and forth foreplay, touching, kissing, and him even licking my toes. ‘I love your feet,’ he whispered, ‘they are so irresistible,’” Roberts recalled the Prince saying.
“That was definitely a 1st for me, but I went with it all, fearful of letting down the Prince and in turn Jeffrey and Ghislaine.”

Once the foreplay was over, the two had sex, she claimed.
“The entire affair was short-lived, when his climax was achieved he was not the same attentive guy I had know for the last few hours,” Roberts detailed. “Instead, [he] quickly got dressed, said his goodbyes and slipped out of my bedroom to the driver still waiting for him outside.”

Andrew, son of Queen Elizabeth II (http://radaronline.com/category/tags/Queen-Elizabeth/) and a brother of Prince Charles (http://radaronline.com/category/tags/Prince-Charles/), has labeled accusations that he slept with Roberts — claims resurfaced in a federal court filing in early January — as “categorically untrue.”
“It is emphatically denied that HRH The Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts. The allegations made are false and without any foundation,” a palace spokesman has said.
Maxwell and Epstein have also dismissed the allegations, with the investment banker declaring: “These are stale, rehashed allegations that lawyers are now attempting to repackage and spice up by adding the names of prominent people,” said Epstein’s attorney, Jack Goldberger.

Virginia Roberts goes public with detailed account of 'sexual contact' with royal

TIM WALKER (http://www.independent.co.uk/biography/tim-walker)http://www.independent.co.uk/skins/ind/images/plus.png

US CORRESPONDENT

Wednesday 21 January 2015

The woman who says she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew while underage has outlined the accusations in her own words for the first time, in newly filed US court papers.

Virginia Roberts, referred to in court as Jane Doe #3, claims she was compelled to have sex with the Prince by his friend, the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, in 2001 – when she was 17 years old. Mr Epstein, a former hedge fund tycoon, was convicted for sex offences in 2008.
This is the first time Ms Roberts has given her own account of the allegations to the court in Florida. When she met Prince Andrew, she claims, she was aware that he was a British royal, but knew him only as “Andy”. In her sworn affidavit, she said Buckingham Palace’s forceful denial of her accusations was both “false” and “hurtful”.
“I did have sexual contact with him [Prince Andrew] as I have described here – under oath,” Ms Roberts said. “Given what he knows and has seen, I was hoping that he would simply voluntarily tell the truth about everything. I hope my attorneys can interview Prince Andrew under oath about the contacts and that he will tell the truth.”
The Prince, who has strongly denied the claims, is expected to appear before the cameras and address the accusations against him during his annual reception at the World Economic Forum in Davos later.
Ms Roberts’ lawyers also included, in the legal bundle submitted to the court today, a letter addressed to Prince Andrew, inviting the 54-year-old to respond to the allegations in person and under oath. The letter, dated 14 January, includes a photograph of the Prince with his arm around Ms Roberts, which she says was taken by Mr Epstein in 2001.

The letter also refers to alleged “subsequent interactions” between Andrew and Ms Roberts in New York later that year. In her affidavit, Ms Roberts reasserted her claim that she was forced to have sexual relations with the Prince on three occasions, one of which was at an orgy.
The letter to Prince Andrew was a “formal request”, it said, “to interview you, under oath, regarding interactions that you had with Jane Doe No 3 beginning in approximately early 2001… The interview could be conducted at a time and place of your choosing, and with your co-operation, I believe the interview could be completed in two hours or less.”
Ms Roberts’ lawyers say the letter was returned to them, apparently having been refused by its recipient. Ms Roberts said in her affidavit that she had asked her legal team to “pursue all reasonable and legitimate means” to bring criminal charges against the “powerful people” with whom she had sex at Mr Epstein’s behest.
Buckingham Palace quickly and strenuously denied the renewed allegations. When Ms Roberts’ claims first emerged, the Palace described them as “categorically untrue”, “false” and “without any foundation”, denying the Prince and his accuser had “any form of sexual contact or relationship”.
In 2011 Andrew stepped down as UK trade envoy amid controversy over his close relationship with Epstein.

Well, that's a convincing rebuttal isn't it. Might just have well coughed as he addressed the issue, to smother his words. I wonder if he took a leaf out of Tony Blair's dodge book?

DAVOS

Thursday 22 January 2015

Before British business leaders at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, Prince Andrew said: “For the record I refer to events that have taken place in the last few weeks. I just wish to reiterate and to reaffirm the statements which have already been made on my behalf by Buckingham Palace.

His voice noticeably shaky, he added: “My focus is on my work and this evening’s reception allows me to tell you about just a couple of the initiatives I have founded and am passionate about.”
After addressing the allegations in the introduction to his speech – an almost unprecedented step for a senior royal – the prince made no further mention of them as he went on to talk about his work promoting entrepreneurs.

Will he, won't he - answer questions under oath.

Will he hell.

Someone should tell the American lawyers that the royal family - and numerous others too - are far above the law.

The judiciary make a pledge of loyalty to the Queen when taking office. I don't ever remember a royal attending a court hearing. They have flunkies to do that as observers if need be.

Lawyers fight to compel Prince Andrew to answer claims of sex with girl, 17

Attorneys for Virginia Roberts request that Andrew answer questions under oath but admit ‘there is no easy means by which to compel his testimony’

The woman who alleges that she was made to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was 17 may file a request to the British courts under an international treaty to try to compel him to answer questions under oath.
Lawyers for Virginia Roberts have written to Andrew at Buckingham Palace to ask for a two-hour sworn interview about Roberts’ claim that she was forced into sexual relations with Andrew by his friend Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier and convicted sex offender.
Andrew spoke publicly on Thursday to “reiterate and to reaffirm” a strenuous denial of the allegation by Buckingham Palace, which describes it as “categorically untrue”.
The lawyers’ letter, which was made public in a court filing on Wednesday (http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/jan/21/woman-affidavit-prince-andrew), told Andrew: “The interview could be conducted at a time and place of your choosing.” However, an attempt to deliver the letter by FedEx was apparently rejected by the Palace.
Jack Scarola, the attorney who wrote the letter, told the Guardian on Thursday that his legal team would try again to deliver the letter through the British embassy in the US. An embassy spokeswoman said at the end of Thursday afternoon that no attempt had been made to deliver it.
Related: Jeffrey Epstein: inside the decade of scandal entangling Prince Andrew (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jan/10/jeffrey-epstein-decade-scandal-prince-andrew)
Scarola said that if the letter could not be delivered, he would consider making a new request for Andrew to answer questions under a 1970 Hague convention on taking evidence abroad (http://www.hcch.net/index_en.php?act=conventions.text&cid=82), to which the US and the UK are both signatories.
“There is no easy means by which to compel his testimony,” said Scarola. “We are hoping that he will make the decision to voluntarily cooperate. If he chooses not to make that decision, then we will further consider what steps we might take under the Hague convention.”
Because the attorneys’ request relates to a civil lawsuit in the US courts, and Andrew is not facing any criminal action, issues around whether Andrew is protected by diplomatic immunity, and the extradition treaty between the US and UK, are irrelevant at this stage.
Andrew cannot easily be subpoenaed to give testimony, as an American resident might be, because he lives outside the jurisdiction of the US courts. Visiting Florida may put him at risk of being served with a subpoena to appear there, lawyers said.
But a server may find it too difficult to get close enough to the Duke – and past his security detail – to physically hand him legal papers. And it is unlikely that Andrew would be vigorously pursued if he ignored the subpoena and returned to the UK. So to compel Andrew to be interviewed, Roberts’ attorneys would ask the British courts to question him, through a “letter of request”.
Attorneys may file these requests to the US court considering their case, according to Friedrich Seitz, a Los Angeles-based attorney who has written on the subject (http://www.murchisonlaw.com/news_center/644-navigating-discovery-abroad-obtaining-witnesses-materials-located-outside). The request may then be passed by the judge to the relevant foreign legal authorities. However, according to guidance published by the US department of justice, American attorneys may actually make these requests directly (http://www.justice.gov/civil/office-international-judicial-assistance-1).
Because Andrew lives in the UK, the request would be sent to Barbara Fontaine (http://www.judiciary.gov.uk/announcements/senior-master-of-the-queens-bench-division-appointment-fontaine/), the Senior Master of the Queen’s Bench Division and Queen’s Remembrancer, at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. Fontaine serves under Sir Brian Leveson, the president of the Queen’s Bench Division, who carried out an inquiry into the ethics of the British media.
It is not clear how the judiciary might handle a request relating to a member of the royal family. The Hague convention states that a country may reject a request if it “considers that its sovereignty or security would be prejudiced”.
“International judicial assistance is always discretionary, based upon principles of comity rather than treaty, and is also subject to legal procedures in the requested country,” said Marcus Funk, a defence attorney and former prosecutor, who was not referring specifically to the case involving Andrew. “Though governments may be less likely to assist if the subject of the request is a government official,” said Funk.
According to The Hague’s model letter of request (http://www.hcch.net/index_en.php?act=publications.details&pid=3309), Roberts’ attorneys should name Prince Andrew as someone they want “examined” for their case, and specify that they want him questioned orally and under oath. They should also supply a list of questions they want Andrew to answer if their request is granted by Fontaine.

Under directions to the courts from Britain’s ministry of justice (http://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/civil/rules/part34#34.16), this interview should “be conducted in the same way as if the witness were giving evidence at a trial”. It may be carried out by “any fit and proper person nominated” by Roberts’ attorneys or “any other person whom the court considers suitable”. Andrew would be entitled to have a lawyer present.
In general, when a Briton is asked for evidence in the US “the deposition would almost certainly take place in the UK – the witness would not be compelled to travel to the US”, said Funk.
The interviewer would then give a transcript of the questioning to Fontaine, who would send it together with “a certificate sealed with the seal of the Senior Courts” to Roberts’ attorneys.
If Andrew refused or failed to show up for the interview, the law states that Roberts’ attorneys could apply for a court order instructing him to do so. Disobeying a court order in the UK may leave someone open to prosecution for contempt of court.
The 1975 UK law that covers giving evidence to foreign courts (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1975/34/section/3) indicates that Andrew – or any other Briton – could claim to be shielded from having to give evidence if “doing so would be prejudicial to the security of the United Kingdom”. The only evidence needed to prove this is “a certificate signed by or on behalf of” the relevant secretary of state in the British cabinet.
“It is a cumbersome procedure and a very lengthy procedure, so we are obviously hoping to avoid that,” said Scarola. “It may or may not become necessary in the future.”

The presence of any one's name in the book does not prove they too are a paedophile. But it might and their names are currently being placed in a data base to explore such links. This is his personal address book after all. Some may also be his blackmail victims. This possibility also needs to be explored. It also reflects poorly on their choice of friend considering many should know better.

I would guess that most in his black book are NOT pedophiles, but just sex customers or potential customers. Some could be blackmail victims or potential victims......but on the surface it seems many were very friendly with him and freely gave their phone contacts and had at some times used his services or attended his 'parties'. Some sound like Berlisconi's Bunga-Bunga parties. Hey, this kind of thing went on in Ancient Rome too...and before and since. With power and money comes the idea that anything can be had for your whim with a little cash....and there is always someone to handle the details. Many may not have requested nor been told the age of a particular partner...just shown a photo or introduced. Most probably didn't care if they met their 'fancy'. In a capitalistic society, rich capitalists feel it is their right to buy whatever they desire...and they apparently did....not caring or thinking much of the consequences or legal ramifications. The nasty bits to me are not that someone was a year or two under age [where they might be of age in another jurisdiction], but that some were FORCED to have sex or do sexual favors - that is the nasty part to me!

Yes, I agree, being in Epstein's black book simply means he knows them. He was, apparently, very worried that the book would be published, so there are names there he doesn't want made public it seems.

The thing about the paedophile story in the UK that many will miss, is that were everything to be made public, the country will very likely be brought to its knees, such is the depth of stink and criminality surrounding it. For one thing it shows that those who rule the nation are depraved. For another, it reveals that many great movers and shakers, from Buckingham Palace down through the intelligence and security services, the police parliament, law, order and the judiciary (a great many judges are involved too) manipulate the law to protect themselves.

They are, effectively, above the law. The realization of this by the public would have lasting consequences. In Belgium, following the Dutroux scandal, the government was slung out of office by the people marching - and for 18 months Belgium had no government at all. It ran fairly effectively without one too.

These things filter through the public mind slowly, but also entrench themselves there.

The question, should the lid be dragged off this sewer, is why do we allow ourselves to be ruled by criminals and perverts who trample on the things we hold dear, and use their positions of power to enrich themselves at our expense, lie to us daily, subvert the law and secrets act to protect themselves and their dodgy dealings?

As an aside, in checking Aangirfan (http://aanirfan.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/scallywag-prince-andrew-blair-mcalpine.html) today I was reminded about Prince Andrew's almost certainly true bloodline.

Scallywag was a hard hitting magazine of its day and very often got things bang to rights - although it lost a notorious defamation case that destroyed its credibility. But the Pirnce Andrew story was run in a hour long documentary on English TV a long time ago. I watched it at the time. And Porchester was outed as Andrew's father at that time.

The National Enquirer has a screenshot from a video allegedly showing Andrew having sex with this girl. Apparently, billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, a.k.a. the mastermind behind this whole disgusting enterprise (http://www.celebdirtylaundry.com/2015/prince-andrew-admits-his-foolish-behavior-to-friends-following-underage-sex-scandal/) – might have been secretly filming Prince Andrew and other high-profile men having sex with this girl [and possibly others] in order to blackmail them later. Or he was just a pervert and watched them, who really knows?Anyway, the Enquirer’s sources claim that the FBI have seized at least four tapes from Jeffrey Epstein’s home, one of which allegedly shows Prince Andrew having sex with the then-underage Virginia Roberts. Apparently, Epstein actually kept hidden cameras in the home that Virginia Roberts and Prince Andrew had sex in, with sources adding (http://www.nationalenquirer.com/celebrity/world-exclusive-prince-andrew-sex-slave-caught-video), “Several images of Epstein working at his office were seen. There was other footage of females seen.”Plus, Virginia Roberts herself is reportedly insisting that there were hidden cameras and recording devices in several of the places that she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew, which means it was very likely that Jeffrey Epstein was recording more than just Prince Andrew. But imagine this gets out? The royals will literally NEVER live it down. And it WILL get out, especially if the FBI has already seized the videos and some content has already leaked. Something this high-profile and that would be so damaging to the royal family? People will turn out in droves to pay for it and/or read about it and/or watch it online. Constitutional Crisis https://theneedleblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/great-seal460.jpg?w=237&h=239 (https://theneedleblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/great-seal460.jpg)
I first became aware that there may be a problem on 7th January when a source, who we’ll call ‘Steve’ contacted me with an extraordinary story. The Queen, he told me, had been unwell and it looked likely that Prince Charles might become Prince Regent and take over the Queen’s constitutional duties. However, there was a big problem. There were many within the Establishment who had grave concerns that Prince Charles was too political and would interfere in government policy and so I should view the big Prince Andrew/Jeffrey Epstein stories in The Daily Mail, which at the time had just begun, in the context of this. If Prince Charles did not make a “deal” soon then there would be further revelations in the media.
I was intrigued enough at the time to contact a friend of mine who is a senior journalists, someone I can talk too and I recounted what I had been told. My friend, far from pouring cold water on the entire idea, felt that there were elements of the story which were very plausible and so we both agreed to look into this.
I should say here, that neither he nor I found any evidence that the Queen had health problems beyond a few stories in unreliable American supermarket magazines and I’m now certain that this is untrue but in reality that point is moot. At 89 year’s old, it is an extremely big ask for the general public to expect Her Majesty to continue to undertake her constitutional duties far into the future.
We are accustomed to believe that the monarchy is only symbolic but that is not the case. It is only when situations like this arise that it becomes clear that the Head of State is an extremely important cog in the UKs constitutional machine, without which the machine simply stops working. The fact is that the Head of State signs every piece of legislation into law and if, for whatever reason, the Head of State is unable to fulfil those duties with due consideration, potentially, theoretically any legislation that might be signed could be legally challenged and that would be an extremely serious situation for the country to arrive at.
Yesterday I think we saw a further public escalation of this constitutional crisis as, the The Times, The Telegraph, and The Daily Mail all published stories which, to varying degrees and justified by a soon to be published ‘official’ biography of Prince Charles, began to lay before the public the concerns that have been bubbling behind the scenes but I fear that we are so used to categorising ‘Royal Stories’ as trivial that many might not have understood the seriousness of situation. Plainly, this escalation indicates that no “deal” has been reached as yet.
Not only did we learn more of the concerns that many have, that Prince Charles if he became Prince Regent or King would continue to interfere in politics, not only did we learn of his apparent obstinacy and unwillingness to accept that the role of the Head of State in a modern constitutional democracy must be above politics, we also learned something about the future revelations which could be interpreted as further escalations in this crisis.
A decision by the Supreme Court is due on whether, what has been termed, ‘the black spider memos’ will be made pubic. These memos are 27 letters exchanged between Prince Charles and ministers in seven Whitehall departments during Tony Blair’s second Government between September 2004 and April 2005. Dominic Grieve, Attorney General had argued that they should not be made public, observing that the documents could show Charles to be “disagreeing with Government policy” and thus be “seriously damaging” to the political neutrality expected of the monarch.
If these documents are released and they demonstrate a political interference beyond Prince Charles’ known interests in environmental issues, the plight of hill farmers, and architecture and instead demonstrate interference in matters which touch on issues that are the preserve of a democratically elected government, then, as Dominic Grieve pointed out it could be extremely damaging to Prince Charles.
Soon after this Supreme Court decision a BBC documentary is due to be broadcast regarding Diana. It is said that this documentary if broadcast would be extremely damaging to Prince Charles’ prospects of succeeding his mother to the throne.
Both of these two events, if they occur, could be regarded as further escalations in this ongoing constitutional crisis if a “deal” isn’t struck soon.
But here is the problem; how can any “deal” be struck? How can anyone be certain that if Prince Charles become Regent or King that he will keep to his side of any “deal”?
I am not wealthy or powerful, I am not a politician, or a civil servant, and I’m not a royal courtier or a newspaper editor. I am just an ordinary person and I can see many things that are wrong with our country, a broken political system, increasing inequality, and political priorities that only look after the interests of those with power. But the People of this country have the rights and power necessary to address these and other issues if the have the courage to do so. What the People need is not a King or Regent that interferes in government policy, what the People need is stability and an impartial Head of State who shows no favour.
We’ll have to wait and see how all this plays out but I hope some accommodation can be found. If not Charles really could turn out to be an extremely unlucky name for a King.

Prince Andrew sex allegations: Virginia Roberts claims FBI has videos of her underage sex with Jeffrey Epstein and 'powerful friends'

http://www.independent.co.uk/incoming/article9994831.ece/alternates/w620/8-Virginia-Roberts-Collect-The-Times-v6dup.jpg

Ms Roberts also claims she feared for her life during the allegedly abusive 'sexual activities I was forced to endure'

ADAM WITHNALL (http://www.independent.co.uk/biography/adam-withnall)http://www.independent.co.uk/skins/ind/images/plus.png

Sunday 08 February 2015

The woman at the centre of the underage sex allegations against Prince Andrew has said she believes the FBI holds video evidence of her having sex with Jeffrey Epstein and “some of his powerful friends”.

In a sworn statement in the US courts, Virginia Roberts revealed this week that she believes Epstein “maintained videos in some rooms where I had sex with other powerful people” – and that “some kind of major cover-up is going on to protect” the billionaire financier.
Now 31 years old, Ms Roberts has claimed that when she was 17 she was forced to have sex with Epstein and a number of his friends while she was his “sex slave”. The age of consent is 18 in Florida, where two unnamed women are petitioning for Epstein to be prosecuted.
Among the friends and associates she claims to have had sex with is Prince Andrew. She said she had sex three times with the prince while she was aged 17.
Prince Andrew and Buckingham Palace have stridently and repeatedly denied the claims. Two weeks ago, speaking at Davos, he reiterated the denial and said: “My focus is my work.”
http://www.independent.co.uk/incoming/article9954315.ece/alternates/w460/jeffrey-epstein-2-v2.jpgJeffrey Epstein, multi-millionaire and ex-banker who was sentenced to 18 months in prisonIn a sworn affidavit filed with the US district court in southern Florida, Ms Roberts said she wanted to be allowed to become part of the case for possible prosecution against Epstein “and others who abused underage girls”.
She said: “Based on my knowledge of Epstein and his organization, as well as discussions with the FBI, it is my belief that federal prosecutors likely possess videotapes and photographic images of me as an underage girl having sex with Epstein and some of his powerful friends.”
Ms Roberts also claimed that she feared coming forward before now in part due to the “physical abuse that I suffered when Epstein forced me to have sex with other people”.
“Without going into the details of the sexual activities I was forced to endure, there were times when I was physically abused to the point that I remember fearfully thinking that I didn’t know whether I was going to survive,” she said.

She added that she believed the government was “hiding some of the things that it knows about me and about other powerful people involved in this case”, and said: “I am also worried that this is a very dangerous circuit. By standing up for what is right, I’m worried that Epstein, or others named here, will come after me.”
Epstein’s lawyers have repeatedly denied Ms Roberts’ claims, and did so again in a recent filing that described them “as outlandish and offensive attacks, allegations and plain inventions”.
The financier was convicted in 2008 of one count of soliciting sex from an underage girl and sentenced to 18 months in jail.
Mr Epstein only served 13 months in jail before before being released and forced to register as a sex offender. It has been alleged that Mr Epstein received special treatment from US prosecutor after lobbying from Prince Andrew, something Buckingham Palace has also denied.

Isn’t it quiet ?
Since Exaro News (http://www.exaronews.com/articles/5510/police-raid-harvey-proctor-s-home-under-operation-midland) published the story last night I can only find the story on the BBC.
Somehow you’d have thought that the search of the home of a former Conservative MP in connection with a police operation looking into the murder of 3 children might be a story ?

The home of former Conservative MP Harvey Proctor has been searched by police investigating historical allegations of child abuse.
The BBC understands police arrived at the 68-year-old’s house on the estate of Belvoir Castle, in Leicestershire, on Wednesday.
The Metropolitan Police said officers from Operation Midland were searching an address in Grantham.
Mr Proctor has not made any statement.

Perhaps the silence could be due to the fact that the home searched was on the Duke and Duchess of Rutland’s estate at Belvoir Castle ?
There has been some speculation about the relationship between the Duke of Rutland and Harvey Proctor since we published ‘The Maxwells, Harvey Proctor, And The Marquis Of Granby’ (https://theneedleblog.wordpress.com/2015/01/09/blackmail-the-maxwells-harvey-proctor-and-the-marquis-of-granby/) We couldn’t possibly comment but I think it is fair to point out that the Duke and Duchess of Rutland no longer have physical relations. Aparently the Duke has someone else to take care of those needs who lives on the estate.
The aristocracy have always been inventive when their marriages break down. They can afford to be. A blind eye here, an understanding there, a delicate readjustment of room space to conduct their separate lives while maintaining the fiction of harmonious family life.
However, nothing so smotheringly conventional was ever going to do for the Duke and Duchess of Rutland who, at the weekend, made public their own solution to the challenges of infidelity: after 20 years of marriage, they are now living in different wings of their colossal gothic castle at Belvoir, each able to entertain a lover without undue embarrassment and to come together for occasional family meals with their five children.
“It is a situation that many might find difficult, or impossible, to fathom,” wrote Emma Rutland in a lengthy, confessional article in a Sunday newspaper.

It is more than interesting that the police continue to believe the witness and consider him credible.

'I AM telling the truth': Harvey Proctor's accuser dismisses ex-MP's 'over-the-top theatrical performance' as he denied claims of torture and child murder

The Westminster abuse victim who accused Harvey Proctor of raping and murdering two children and helping kill a third has been left 'distressed' by the ex-MP's 'over-the-top' denial.
The child abuse survivor named only as 'Nick' is Scotland Yard's number one witness in its investigation into the alleged VIP paedophile gang of politicians, civil servants and diplomats.
In a press conference yesterday Harvey Proctor said Nick, who is a 'respectable businessman' now in his forties, has 'wrecked his life' and the reputation of eight others by naming them as members.
Critics have questioned why Operation Midland detectives probing abuse at Dolphin Square and the Elm Guest House appear to have hung their VIP child abuse investigation on Nick's testimony.

In an extraordinary press conference yesterday former MP Harvey Proctor branded the allegations against him 'ludicrous'.
He said: 'I should be arrested, charged and prosecuted for murder and these awful crimes immediately so I can start the process of ridiculing these preposterous allegations in open court.
''Nick' should be stripped of his anonymity and prosecuted for wasting police time and money.

Anger: Harvey Proctor says his life has been 'ruined' by Nick who is Scotland Yard's key witness

'The paranoid police have pursued a homosexual witch hunt on this issue.'
Scotland Yard has said it will not comment on his claims.
Last night Nick, who is said to have made a success of his life despite his years of abuse, has been upset by Proctor's statement.
Journalist Mark Watts, editor of the Exaro website, spoke to him afterwards and said: 'Nick, as was entirely foreseeable, has been left distressed by Harvey Proctor's over-the-top theatrics. It was a shameful performance.
'Detectives on Operation Midland believed Nick was credible from first meeting with him. They still think him credible'.
Nick has told detectives he was regularly abused as a child by prominent men close to the Houses of Parliament.
He also made the extraordinary claim that in addition to abusing victims, the gang had killed at least three of them.
He recalled seeing one small boy murdered in the presence of a former Tory Cabinet Minister, and another asphyxiated by a Conservative MP at a central London townhouse.
He said last year: 'I watched while that happened. I am not sure how I got out of that'.
The third murder is said to have occurred in broad daylight on a street in South-West London in 1979, when a member of the group deliberately ran over and killed a boy aged between 11 and 12.
He said he was one of between 15 and 20 children who would be picked up in cars and taken to hotels and apartments where they were physically and sexually abused.

He claims to have visited Dolphin Square on at least ten occasions and written account of his ordeal and three days of videotaped evidence.
In that he is said to have passed them Harvey Proctor's name as well as Ted Heath and Leon Brittan among those alleged to have done 'monstrous things'.
Mr Proctor also identified former armed forces head Lord Bramall, ex-MI6 chief Maurice Oldfield and Sir Michael Hanley, the former director general of MI5.

Row: Mr Proctor said he did not attend 'sex parties' at apartments in Dolphin Square (pictured) but Nick appears to have claimed that the former Tory MP did

Nick claims he was repeatedly abused for years in the 1970s and 80s and that he saw a Tory MP strangle a 12-year-old boy.
He was forced to drink alcohol before being beaten and raped while his head was held under the water in a bath.
Nick told of a decade of abuse at the hands of politicians and said members of the Establishment terrorised children and went on to kill three young boys.
He said he was in the room when a Conservative MP killed a 12-year-old boy inside the Dolphin Square apartment complex in the early 1980s.
He told the Sunday People newspaper last year he was driven to an orgy at the complex with the victim, knowing they were about to be abused by 'powerful men'.
He said: 'We looked at each other and saw the fear in each other's eyes.
'I had no idea of the horror of what was to happen. I watched while it happened. I'm not sure how I got out of that.'

Nick told police he was abused by his own father before being 'handed over' to the gang when he was 11.
He claimed he was abused by the group from 1975 to 1984 and that two well-known Tory politicians raped him and beat him.
Nick said he was one of up to 20 boy victims who were openly taken into Dolphin Square and other locations to be abused.
Nick told the BBC his alleged abusers were 'very organised' and arranged for chauffeur-driven cars to collect boys from schools and drive them to hotels and flats.
'Some of them were quite open about who they were,' he said, adding: 'They had no fear at all of being caught.'
He said: 'They were very powerful people and they controlled my life for the next nine years.
'They created fear that penetrated every part of me, day in day out. You did as they asked without question and the punishments were very severe.'
Who are Exaro? Website bankrolled by investment fund manager worth £112m first revealed Nick's VIP abuse claims

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/08/26/13/2BAC5CF600000578-3211292-image-m-27_1440593633229.jpg

Boss: Mark Watts is the editor in chief of Exaro, who remains close to Tom

An investigative news website part-bankrolled by a fund manager worth £112million was the first to reveal the story of abuse victim 'Nick'.
Exaro, which is Latin for 'plough up' or 'dig', have the only journalists with regular access to the anonymous man whose claims have destroyed the reputations of members of the establishment.
Exaro is so close to Nick that its staff have even been allowed to sit in with him in Scotland Yard police interviews.
The website - whose motto is 'holding power to account' - was set up in October 2011 with the help of money from rich investors like millionaire investment fund manager Jerome Booth.
Dr Booth, an academic and businessman who has made money from investing in media companies including film distribution business Icon, first set up by Mel Gibson in the late 1980s.
Exaro first had a paywall for its stories but this was taken down two years later after saying it would make more money from content rather than subscriptions.

Editor in chief Mark Watts said Dr Booth's investment: 'Booth wants his money back and more. He is someone who has invested in the business and is hoping at the end of the day to get a return on it'.
Among Exaro's reporters is the former Guardian political journalist David Hencke and there are a string of other well known Fleet Street writers working for them.
In 2014 its child abuse work saw it nominated for campaign of the year at the British Press Awards, while Mr was nominated for Political Journalist of the Year.

Site: Exaro first had a paywall for its stories but this was taken down two years later after saying it would make more money from content rather that subscriptions

Most of its biggest stories have come from investigating the Westminster VIP paedophile scandal, especially abuse at Dolphin Square and Elm Guest House.
Although they did also manage to reveal a secret film of Rupert Murdoch criticising the 'incompetent cops' who handled the phone-hacking investigation.
They have also helped reveal abuse tax avoidance in Whitehall and bribery in defence contracts.
But Nick has been one of their greatest sources of stories is believed to only speak to Exaro.
Its small staff is led by Mark Watts, who remains in close contact with Nick.
Mr Watts is a Freedom of Information campaigner, journalist and author.
He started in regional papers before moving to the Sunday Express and then to Andrew Neil's Sunday Business. He won damages in 2002 for unfair dismissal after being fired for writing two emails opposing the decision to shut down its investigative unit.
He then started his own newspaper review show on the Iranian-bankrolled Press TV, which still employs George Galloway and allowed Ken Livingstone to have a show.
In 2012 it had its UK broadcasting licence revoked by Ofcom because of interference from Tehran - but Mr Watts said previously he had full editorial control of his show.
