Hats off to Mr Jacques Pauw of South Africa.

He must be one of the most courageous writers of our time.
His first two books were „Into the Heart of the Whore: The Story of Apartheid's Killers” 1997 and “Into the Heart of Darkness: Confessions of Apartheid's Assassins”, also 1997.
In the book “Into the Heart of Darkness: Confessions of Apartheid's Assassins” Dirk K. Stoffberg, among many others, is portrayed as a killer and arms dealer for the Apartheid regime, a head of a hit squad called “Z-Squad Incorporated” operating in Europe. He confesses to the author that "he gave the orders for assassination of the ANC's Dulcie September (...). He said he paid two former members of the French Foreign Legion L 20 000 each to kill the ANC's chief representative in France. And Stoffberg said he had no idea why she was to be assassinated and presumed it was because she held a prominent position in the ANC.

Note: Dulcie September was presumably killed, because she had knowledge about an atomic weapons deal between France and South Africa.

Sidenote: Dirk Stoffberg also made statements in 1992 and 1994 that Robert Gates called Rainer Barschel to Geneva in 1987, where Barschel was killed, according to Stoffberg, by (or organized by) Thomas Sunde under the alias of “Ross Wood”.

Check these books also to learn about the very deep complicity in illegal arms trades between South Africa, the U.S. and many, many countries of Europe, including many unexpected names. These trades are also deeply intertwined with Iran Contra.
Really, deeply shocking books. Brutally honest, maybe even too much so, making it hard to remain calm.
