Thread: vBulletin database error today.

    Default vBulletin database error today.

Apologies for the interruption to our forum functions today. There has been an upgrade to new software by our host last night and that software is not compatible with the forum software. The issue has been 80% resolved but there are still outstanding aspects to iron out and that is being worked on right now. But everyone should be okay to post and read the forum again. Let us know here if there are any difficulties you encounter.

I cannot open certain threads. Get a black letter warning. Since this am. But other threads open fine.

I'm getting this message and nothing else if I am not logged in:

Warning: Illegal string offset 'name' in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 6845
Unable to add cookies, header already sent.
    File: /var/www/virtual/deeppoliticsforum.com/htdocs/forums/includes/class_core.php

If I log in I get header error messages at the top of the screen but everything else is functional:

Warning: Illegal string offset 'name' in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 6845

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at [path]/includes/class_core.php:5698) in [path]/includes/facebook/facebook.php on line 37

Yes. You will see nothing unless you are logged in.

We are going to do some more work this later after noon (my time) and hopefully that will go smoothly and fully resolve the software incompatibility issues. During that time the forum will be closed to do that work. Hopefully no more than 15 minutes or so.

FWIW - don't have the exact words - but it started out 'unable to add cookies' and then went on for several lines. However, when I clicked on 'new posts' it gave a normal response. Just in case this helps fix the bugs....

Cheers! for fixing the website in one day. Kudos.

Thanks for your patience everyone. The forum software has now been upgraded and is now compatible with the new server software. So all is well again. Once again many thanks to Peter Presland for his technical skills.

Drew's right, congratulations are in order to you and Peter P for all the behind-the-scenes work you both do. The forum would drop without you both.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
