One of the first things I noticed Dawn. The bastards. The only article was a small paper from Charlottesville.
Sort of a litmus test that tells you Mockingbird is complete and the US media is now staffed by shivering yes-men afraid to post the wrong story.

I first became seriously interested in the JFK assassination after hearing Mr. Lane speak at my college in the mid seventies. His passing is a loss but his seminal work will live on.
The government and the media are still unable to answer the serious questions Mr. Lane raised about the substance and conduct of the investigation into the murder of President Kennedy in the period immediately following the release of the Warren Commission report. That's probably why they found it convenient to ignore him.

He was the guy who really started the whole protest against the official cover up.
He deserves a real salute on his passing:

That was actually a pretty decent obituary.

I thought so too. I saw it yesterday, Erick pulled it up on his computer while we were in court, then later I linked it on fb.
And thanks Jim D for the lovely tribute you wrote.

Mark Lane was the individual who most inspired me to become involved in researching the JFK assassination. I joined his Citizens Committee of Inquiry as a teenager, and the afternoon I spent in his office in late 1976, which included a long conversation with him that revolved around one of the most popular entertainers of the time, young Freddie Prinze, is recounted in full in my book.
Mark Lane was one of the last of the original band of critics. I think Vincent Salandria may well be the last surviving one. I'm sure he couldn't have been too happy with the state of the critical community in general. Needless to say, Mark Lane would never have become a neo-con. He was a purist, and one of the few remaining civil libertarians left in this country.

Len Osanic will have a special show on Lane's passing next week.
I will be one of the guests and I think he will repost the excellent debate Lane had with several opponents at Beverly Hills High School in the mid sixties.
Two thousand people showed up and hundreds were turned away.

I never had the privilege to meet or speak to Mr. Lane as many others here and elsewhere have, nor have I heard him personally speak on the assassination regarding his thoughts or what he believes. Though no one may have the definitive answer to what really happened that fateful day, there is no doubt a conspiracy to assassinate president Kennedy took place.
If just those who believe Oswald acted alone was to argue only the first two shots, or Arlen Specter's single bullet [theory,] and they never argued the fatal shot, or where it came from, that will never matter. Why? Because the fact the fatal shot can never be discredited or argued. Starting at zfilm frame 313 and beyond it has been altered to cover up this assassination. As the son of an off the books government asset, I can confirm, without a biases opinion say without a doubt, the fatal shot did in-fact come from somewhere other than the rear, which sparked the most controversial unsolved murder ever by Mr. Lane. This includes all the unsolved murders that followed Kennedy's assassination.
I am only speaking from personal experiences. In closing, Mr. Lane is the Godfather who led the charge for all researchers to challenge the Warren Commission's report, some have filed suit against the three letter agencies, but most importantly, Mr. Lane has brought awareness of truth to the world. If I don't cover up my own father's actions after recently learning who he was, I will not be bias for neither side and call it as I see it.

I think Lane knew he had his witness in Bowers.
