WikiLeaks has activated "contingency plans" after its co-founder's internet service was intentionally cut off by a state actor, the media organization said in a tweet.
The internet is one of the few, if not only, available ways for Julian Assange, who has been locked up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for more than four years, to maintain contact with the outside world.

Facing extradition to Sweden over allegations of rape, which he denies, the Australian computer programmer has been holed up in the embassy in West London since 2012.
He claims the extradition is actually a bid to move him to a jurisdiction from which he can then be sent to the US, which is known to be actively investigating WikiLeaks.
The unverified claims of state sabotage come as WikiLeaks continues to release damaging documents, most recently thousands of hacked emails from Hillary Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta.
Earlier this month, Assange claimed his organization would aim to publish documents "every week" in the run up to US Election Day on November 8.
Clinton's campaign has made unsubstantiated claims that WikiLeaks is working with the Russian government to help defeat the Democrat in favor of Trump.
Last week the FBI reissued a statement saying it was working to "determine the accuracy, nature and scope" of cyber intrusions, but did not name any suspected perpetrators.

The ninth release of Podesta emails occurred on Sunday, bringing the total number of leaked files to over 12,000.
Among the hundreds of emails released are discussions about Clinton's appeal among black voters, her email apologies, and Chelsea Clinton being described by one of her father's longtime aides as a backstabber'.
The batch also comes amid revelations of Clinton's cozy relationship with the mainstream media, and how they work closely to control the media landscape and set up stories that show her in a favorable light.
Earlier this month, it emerged that Hillary Clinton reportedly wanted to "drone" WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange when she was the US secretary of state.
According to True Pundit, Clinton and the State Department were under pressure to silence the whistleblower in the months before WikiLeaks dumped some 250,000 diplomatic cables from 1966 to 2010, dubbed CableGate.
Unidentified State Department sources claimed Clinton asked "can't we just drone this guy?".

Some sources are saying he is dead, others are saying he is in custody.

That might be one of the reasons behind the internet cutoff.

significantly relates to a criminal investigation by the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF)

ToddandClare.com hereby advises the United Nations that both Mr
Assange and Wikileaks have issued separate, unlawful threats against
ToddandClare.com and our American owners, in the event that ToddandClare.com
brings and/or pursues our UK court proceedings in Appendix 1.1

2.
The threats were delivered through the Riseup.net activist network, and
through Mr Assange's Swedish counsel, Advokatfirman SSW.
3.
The threats concern ToddandClare.com, our business, our investors, and
our staff, being subjected to "unending" cyber warfare including:
(i) ToddandClare.com's business infrastructure and company web server;
(ii) ToddandClare.com's social media presence,
(iii) ToddandClare.com's ongoing membership of the United Nations as an
advanced GC member.
(iv) Unspecified actions to "discredit" our representatives.
4.
Under US law, Mr Assange and Wikileaks' threats amount to terrorism
against an American citizen (ToddandClare.com) by a foreign entity.
5.
We are very concerned for the security of our female staff and women
members. We have told all our 20+ long-term female employees to remove their
social media presences from Facebook, LinkedIn, and other public outlets.
6.
We have similarly advised female members who were following us on
Facebook to "un-like" ToddandClare.com and remove all public association between
themselves and our business until further notice.
7.
Julian Assange and Wikileaks's threats have systemically impacted upon
the normal running of our business. In respect to our policies and business
framework for dealing with important labor and environmental matters, we have
implemented companywide audits and risk assessments to ensure best practices are
upheld in corporate governance during this difficult time.

There is more going on here than meets the eye:

From https://www.yahoo.com/news/united-nation...00231.html

Quote:HOUSTON, Oct. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United Nations has publicly stripped ToddandClare.com of its UN membership on October 12, 2016, following publication of an October 4 report on the UN website, criticizing the UN's support for the Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange. The UN report's Google cache can be found here, with further information about the report available through PRWeb: http://www.prweb.com/releases/united-nat...750603.htm
Todd and Clare's response to the UN's decision in a statement on the company blog read: "After ToddandClare.com had spent thousands of dollars in staff training to align with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, we've sadly met the same fate as Nestle and Tata Steel: Being delisted."
The statement continued, "ToddandClare.com's delisting should be a warning to other UN members: The United Nations Global Compact is happy to accept your money, but not your feedback. And, if you disagree with the UN in anyway, expect angry repercussions like having your integrity publicly called into question. From a body that accepts cash donations from companies, hand over fist, yet doesn't want to be accountable to their own member's dissent, that is surely a debate topic."
Speaking in house at the company's Houston offices on Wednesday night, ToddandClare.com CEO, Todd Hammond, said:
"We're proud to have dissented against this dreadful UN decision supporting a fugitive like Julian Assange. What were they thinking? Now Swedish prosecutors are having their good reputations attacked by random anarchists because of what the OHCHR has done. On page 8 of our UN report, we say we'd been warned by Wikileaks to expect actions on our UN membership if we didn't drop our UK court case. Our UN delisting means the attacks have started. You don't have to be Hillary Clinton or a big company, like Trafigura, to come under fire from Mr Assange and his Wikileaks organization. You can be a small, hardworking American business, at the center of a serious police investigation, like this one involving ToddandClare.com and Julian Assange, and the Royal Bahamas Police Force, and Wikileaks has the power to affect you. We feel the UN is saying to businesses who support them: 'We want your money, not your ideas. If you challenge UN power, expect to be crushed.'"

The Todd and Clare grooming charge sounds highly fishy to me. I mean, Assange has been held de facto a prisoner inside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London since June 2012. These charges manifested this year according to a report by the Daily Kos and have only come to light in the last day or so.

All in all, it sounds to me that someone figured Sweden may have had no choice but to drop the charges against him, assuming the Swedish prosecutor visited the embassy to interview him this month as agreed for the umpteenth time (which I understand is no longer going to occur now - for the umpteenth time also) and that accordingly measures were put in place to keep Assange's imprisonment going indefinitely by commencing a fallacious lawsuit in the UK (via charges from the British protectorate of the Bahamas) on a decidedly topical paedophile allegation.

I smell the Clinton team stink-works in action and I'd be astonished if there was any evidence in support of it.

I don't think for a minute that his internet connections were cut for this reason. This is a US ploy, with British assistance, to further isolate him and, I imagine, to cause psychological damage the often results from isolation. And, of course, is also an attempt to cause his widespread popularity to be damaged in the public eye.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

Internet is back on for JA. It would not be a big thing for him to get back on again some where I would imagine.

I don't really understand this Todd and Clare thing. Seems a bit dodgy to say the least. They've been kicked out from the UN Global Compact so no longer a member as of a week or so ago and I suspect they were just signed up to give them an image of legitimacy to do this. I would think JA knows his way around the internet so as not to leave his identity foot prints every where even if he were into 8 year old girls. And I don't believe he is for a second.

I do find it interesting that this was the time when Sweden was to come to the embassy to interview Assange. That has not happened.

As I currently see it, whatever happened on the Bahamas, the dating website used their access to the UN website to generate the maximum possible impact. They also criticize the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary
Detention, which, strictly speaking has nothing to do with anything happening on the Bahamas, and they try to influence the UN against Assange.
This is very fishy indeed.
I guess this was the reason why they were delisted as a member of United Nations Global Compact, even if I did not find a formal UN explanation of this.
And now they picture themselves as a victim, as usual.
If anything illegal happened on the Bahamas, the RBPF will take the necessary measures. It is not the role of the dating website, which could be seen as an enabler and accomplice in such things, to cry all over the world about what one of their alleged customers allegedly has done while allegedly using their service.

It could be even worse:

Quote:Assange, rightfully one of the most paranoid men on the planet, is supposed to have met this 8 year-old through her 22 year-old sister and sent pictures of his face and junk while e-molesting her via an unnamed chat service. Toddandclare.com is a fucking WordPress site on a shared server with findingmeg.com and trafficsail.com. The supposed principals, "Todd and Clare Hammond" are ghosts on the internet. They appear in no marketing on their websites or their Kindle book and do not turn up in any searches. This appears to be a totally hamhanded attempt at a takedown.
EDIT: Lol, I signed up at toddandclare.com and was user number 600 something. All the "profiles" of women feature one image only, just like on every scam dating site. I just "sent" a text message and was never asked to pay. They can't even set up a functional fake backstory correctly.

I mean, everyone can send pictures of Assange to wherever he pleases. And regarding the website, it was supposedly founded in 2011, but this is difficult to verify.
It joined the UN Global Compact on May 6, 2016. (https://www.toddandclare.com/datinglife/). Hmmm, when did you say the Bahamas thing happened?
The wikipedia page was deleted yesterday ( https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit..._and_Clare) for advertising, and users are asking the right questions (Was it a very new page?)
