Probably a limited hang out that will go the way of all Mainstream Media treatments. Most likely another mafia-did-it misdirection:

I heard the author of the book about Kilgallen speak at the Lancer conference in November. He is definitely in the Marcello-did-it camp.

Here is my review of Shaw's book. It should have been a real hum dinger, but its not for all the reasons I discuss below.

At the end of my review, we have a link to the Sara Jordan article from Midwest Today. Its excellent.

Good review. I just wish you hadn't listed Janney as being uncredible. I think it leads people away from what is almost certainly important evidence in the second most important murder of a woman witness in the Kennedy assassination by CIA.
Also, it should be mentioned that the bar tender at the last bar Kilgallen attended was an off-duty cop who shortly after Kilgallen's death came in to a large amount of money that he used to retire and buy a high end restaurant in Poughkeepsie, NY. The source of that money was never found.
Like most things that are Kennedy assassination related, Kilgallen's covert murder points directly towards CIA methods and interests and even involved a classic CIA Mockingbird journalist boyfriend that Kilgallen didn't have the sophistication to detect. This barbiturate/alcohol, planted-girlfriend, covert murder set-up was done almost identically to Jimi Hendrix by the same group.

Could you be more specific about who the bartender was?
The only person who fits the description about buying the bar near Poughkeepsie NY was a guy named John Doyle. He was not a bartender, but a detective who was supposed to be running the investigation. Except it was not a real investigation. (Israel, p. 424)

Jim:
I confess to internet postings (possibly Simkin) as being the source for that and also admit to not having read Lee Israel. So if it is inaccurate I defer to your information.

I found nothing like that in any of the three major sources, i.e. Israel, Jordan, or Shaw.
IF you have another source, please let us know.
BTW, that NY Post article really boosted the sales of Shaw's book by a factor of about twenty. He went from about 14,000 on Amazon to now about 200.

If you look at "Richard Smith's" post he is referri
ng to the source. Maybe it was Mark Lane? Maybe it was Douglass? I can't remember where I first saw it.

Read your review on facebook yesterday Jim. And posted it on my page. Excellent and now I don't have to get the book. I had feared he was a Mafia did it guy before reading your review and now I see that is the case. too bad. The DA needs to look more deeply at this case.

Thanks for putting it on FB Dawn.
Yes that is really disappointing about his spin, New Orleans equals Marcello.
