Larry Flynt deserves his own thread here

I never met nor corresponded with Mae. But one year I received a Christmas card from her. I did not even know she knew of me. I guess she got my address from Penn Jones. I knew she was Jewish, so I thought it was odd. But maybe the card said "Happy Holidays"; I'm sure I still have the card, but I have no idea where.

For those who know little of Mae, she was of the wealthy I.Magnin department store family of San Francisco. A brilliant woman, she began her vast research because of the Nazi persecution of Jews, and found that everything was connected in conspiracyland. Her family considered her a blacksheep for taking such politically incorrect investigations. Her death was considered by some to be suspicious, and she was believed to be under constant FBI surveillance.

Well, I'm not rich after all for having 8 copies...oh, well....

FLYNT, LARRY, EDITOR. The Rebel. A News Weekly With A Cause. January 1984 Issue.
Published by The Rebel Magazine, Inc. Los Angeles, CA. 1984. First Edition. Binding is: Softcover. 8 in. x 11 in. A radical magazine edited by Larry Flynt. This issue is devoted to the 20th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Some articles are: NAZI CONNECTIONS IN THE JFK CONSPIRACY, THE MURDER OF MARY PINCHOT MEYER, DISAPPEARING WITNESSES, plus many other articles, all radical, that do not deal with the JFK assassination. 96 pages. Light wear to the magazine covers. Text is clean, no writing. Magazine is in Very Good condition.

Offered for US$ 39.00 by: Quinn & Davis Booksellers - Book number: 313981

NB - Browsing the internet, it seems to me that someone has purposely made it hard to find Rebel on the internet, if it is there. There are for example many fake $1000000 offer urls on Flynt - not dealing with JFK nor anything that ever really happened. Pure disinfo. It was a knock-ya-down-standing kind of magazine and surely the reason he was shot - along with the offer of $1million - a huge amount then. His offer was only about ten [or less?] weeks before his getting shot, if I remember. While he survived paralized, both he and any potential person to come 'forward' were warned - it doesn't matter what the MSM and the general public think about things like that. The message was clear to those who 'needed' to hear it.

LARRY FLYNT: THE DEEPER STORY

A caller to WLS Talk Radio in Chicago timidly inserted this question into the "great debate" over the vital role in First Amendment protections vs. the admittedly sickening portrayal of women, both connected to Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt: "But wasn't Flynt somehow connected to independently investigating the JFK assassination?"

The deeper story on Larry Flynt is that he was one of the few in the mass media publishing stories that questioned the "smiley face reality" of the 1980s. In fact, Flynt may have really pi**ed some people off, leading to the assassination attempt on him which left him partially paralyzed. I am told that they never did catch whoever shot him.

Yes, Flynt was "somehow connected to independently investigating the JFK assassination." For example, one of his now-defunct publications, Rebel Magazine, published an article by the late Mae Brussell, "The Nazi Connection to the John F. Kennedy Assassination." His advocacy of conspiracy theories must have rattled the cages of some powerful people, much more than they would have been bothered by a childish satire done about Jerry Falwell.

The January 30, 1984 issue of Rebel Magazine carried a conspiracy-related article written by Flynt himself, "Reagangate: White House Connections to the Vicki Morgan Killing." According to Flynt, high-level Reagan administration personnel relied on Alfred Bloomingdale to procure sex partners for them. But when Bloomingdale's long-time mistress, Vicki Morgan, was murdered, this reportedly opened up a potentially scandalous situation that could have put the spotlight on the Reagan Gang. Bloomingdale had allegedly placed hidden video cameras throughout his amateur brothel and these cameras had apparently caught some Washington, D.C. big shots in embarrassing postures. Attorney Robert Steinberg held a press conference where he claimed "to have seen videotapes of high-ranking Reagan administration officials sexually involved with Vicki Morgan and others." Possessing copies of some of the videos, Henry Kissinger reportedly used the potentially explosive material to blackmail his way to great power over U.S. foreign policy. Set up to take the fall for the Morgan killing was Marvin Pancoast, who Flynt thinks was an innocent patsy.

Funny how we might not have "read all about it," except for the efforts of Larry Flynt.

But why is Flynt being made out to be a hero for something else? It may be that persons wanting to thank Flynt for his efforts could not hope to get past corporate censors with the real story. So, they put out the watered-down version, thereby at least getting some of it out and (hopefully) leading to a deeper understanding. http://www.theconspiracy.us/vol9/cn9-99.html

Bibliography sheet http://maebrussell.com/Bibliography%20Sheets/409s1.html 1922 - 1988 Born in Beverly Hills 1922, Mae Brussell was the daughter of prominent Wilshire Boulevard Temple Rabbi Edgar Magnin and great-granddaughter of Isaac Magnin, founder of the I. Magnin clothing stores. By the time President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 Mae was married with five children and living in Southern California. Unconvinced that Lee Harvey Oswald had acted alone in the assassination, she bought the 26-volume Warren Commission Hearings and began reading, filing, and cross-indexing. With the massive addition of books, articles, and government documents, Mae found connections to the CIA and international fascist elements that had managed to survive the War. She also saw relationships to many other current and past events throughout the world. Mae began to realize that the international terrorist network that made up the Axis powers during World War II had effectively gone underground and continued their worldwide fascist campaign even before the War had officially ended; As one country after another changed hands, Mae recognized many of the same familiar names, methods, and tactics that were used to swallow up Germany in the 1920s and 1930s. Unfortunately this growing list of countries does not exclude the United States; Most anything Americana is being infiltrated, raped, murdered, infected, poisoned, or deregulated. As Mae stated at the University of California in Santa Cruz: "What is happening to us is a classical case of totally destroying us. And by the same people who've been at the top doing it since World War Two." In May of 1971, after seven years of research and now living in Carmel, California, Mae appeared as a guest on KLRB, a local FM radio station independently owned by Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Gloria Baron. Mae discussed her views on political assassinations and the New York Times release of the Pentagon Papers. The response was so good she became a regular weekly guest and before too long had her own show Dialogue: Conspiracy. (She later changed the name to World Watchers International hoping it would spread like Weight Watchers did.) Almost every week for seventeen years Mae shared with her audience her voluminous daily research in her rapid-fire, no-holds-barred style. Occasionally Mae's research produced predictions with stunning accuracy: *On May 29, 1968 Mae confronted Rose Kennedy at the Monterey Peninsula Airport and handed her what she said was a poem, but actually a note telling her Robert Kennedy would soon be assassinated. A week later Senator Kennedy was shot to death at The Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. *A month before Ted Kennedy's Chappaquiddick incident Mae warned his office of "the nest of rattlesnakes" that surrounded him and his upcoming bid for the White House. *Two weeks before the SLA kidnapped Patty Hearst she told a Syracuse University audience that the SLA shooting of black school superintendent Marcus Foster was just the beginning of what would be terror and psychological sabotage in the same vein Germany had been subjected to in the 1930s. *In August 1977 (broadcast #282) Mae discussed Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple move to Guyana. She speculated that this might be a training camp for assassination teams – this was more than a year before 913 members of the church were massacred. *Mae spent much of her March 29, 1981 evening broadcast listing reasons she believed the Reagan White House were at war with one another and asked who will kill off their team members first. The following morning President Reagan was shot in Washington D.C. In addition to Mae's close friends and weekly listeners, she corresponded and networked with such people as Jim Garrison, Col. L. Fletcher Prouty, and Larry Flynt. Her first published article in Paul Krassner's The Realist was actually financed by John Lennon. And Frank Zappa once gave her a computer for filing and cross-indexing her research (but she never used it). There were times when death threats drove Mae off the air: once by Charles Manson family member Sandra Good in September 1975. Sometimes Mae resorted to recording her shows at home on her small cassette tape recorder and privately mailed out copies to her subscribers. Many of the articles Mae wrote tackled subjects that to this day remain unparalleled by anyone in the United States. The epitome of Mae's journalism "The Nazi Connection to the John F. Kennedy Assassination" appeared in Larry Flynt's premier issue of The Rebel magazine in November 1983. Her countless list of German and White Russian fascist fingerprints to President Kennedy's assassination reached its peak in May of 1988 when she discovered the name "Adolf H. Schicklgruber" handwritten in Marina Oswald's notebook of poetry in the Warren Commission exhibits. In 1983 Mae's show was picked up by listener-sponsored KAZU FM in nearby Pacific Grove. Five years later she was forced off the air, for the last time, from death threats but continued sending out her weekly tapes to subscribers until June 13, 1988 (tape #862). Mae died of cancer on October 3rd of that year. She was 66. http://mae-brussell.blogspot.com/ [to see Mae herself speaking!!!]

NB - I wish she were still here!!!!! Her tapes are still available and with a few odd moments almost all of her material is still relevant and about subjects still not 'nailed-down', as the powers-that-be keep pulling up the nails she and others of us try to put down. Flynt was funding Mae - as was Lennon [both were shot and Mae died mysteriously - the house accross the street from hers in which she believed the FBI was watching her burned down the day after she died....] Were this all not real, one would say it was an episode of The Twilight Zone.

Mae produced a large size flow-chart showing all the nazi connections to JFK. I used to have a copy but it is no longer available, but if someone else has a copy and can post it here, it would be an invaluable aid...
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

I had the great fortune of meeting Mae when she spoke at Boston University in 1975. It was the first ever 3 day national conference of deep political researchers, organized by the Assassination Information Bureau. What a line up!!

After her death I asked John Judge what she had been working on when she died under very mysterious circumstances, he told me "satanism in the military". Mae was indeed fearless and unrelenting in her research.

A true hero.

Hmmm....that is one I've not heard of. I'll bet JJ has a copy...maybe I'll just ask him....that would be a good thing to have and I think I can add a few lines and names.....

A few - and only a few - of Mae's lines of inquiry were too strange to mention. Most were on target - or slighty off of a bullseye - but she was often the first to start on a certain trail; and how many of us have gotten a 'goal' without long and hard work - and not having had to back out of dark and weird narrow alleyways trying to find the truth, that is purposely hidden.....with more than a sprinkling of disinfo (and boobytraps) thrown in.

It was on a tv documentary several years ago, that I just happened upon, made while he was still alive , after his conversion to Christianity? Not sure, but he was in a black church, crying, embracing black peolple and apologizing for the hateful racism of his prior years. That was the actual theme of the documentary, but when asked if he believed the offiicial story he made a few brief comments about motivation for the hit and his disbelief of the official version.

I only saw it one time, probably never had a re-run. Just asked Erick and he too remembers it, but no more detail than I have provided here.

Thanks Jack. I have wondered about her background, and how she supported herself and her children. I don't know if she had a husband. Did she survive on family money?

I also had no idea that her research started with the subject of Nazis.

Certainly her death was suspicious. Yet another cancer victim/enemy of the state. Didn't one of her daughters die a suspicious death too? Car "accident" I believe.

Regarding the surveillance, I read somewhere on the web (have no idea if it's true) that she pointed out a house across from hers occupied by the CIA to spy on her. Also read (same caveat) that the house burned down immediately after her death.

Yesterday I found myself thinking again about the death of Mae Brussel. And what John Judge had told me in 1997. Then just now I remembered several things all connected to one book, two of which connect to two murders. Mae's and that of JFK Jr. The book "Concpiracies Cover-Ups and Crimes by Jonathan Vankin covers Mae's last work in a chapter entitled "There is no world for rational fear", and yes, writes this author her final project was the study of Satanic cults in the military:
"Satanic cults are the state of the art in brainwashing. With sex, drugs and violence they strip any semblance of moral thought. They are perfect for use in creating killers. The United States military, Brussel found, was using them".
These are Vankin's words. Mae was working on this in 1988, her last project, before strange things began occurring, home broken into, death threats, cancer- oh how many we've lost to cancer-. So Mae was onto a big story.

But the story here for me is this book and the writer's relationship to JFK Jr.
With George magazine John John had found a way to investigate much. He personally interviewed Scaife -(I have that issue)- as well as Castro. Then he did something almost unimagineble. He commissioned this author to write an article on conspiracies. I can see why this author migh have been chosen, this book covers the gamit: JFK, the Bushes, Nazi's. I stumbled onto this information quite by accident several years ago while investigating the facts surrounding the death of John Jr. The commissing of this article I mean. And the fact that John Jr did not publish it. Because it was TRASH. Vankin was outraged and published it on the web himself. It dealt primarily with aliens. The most far out "conspiracy idiocy"- ( my term)- one can imagine. The kind that makes people like us look beyond foolish. Why John Jr. did not use this piece was obvious, but for me the looming unanswered question was what conspiracy was he seeking to have exposed? The murders of his father and uncle? In George?

Was this the final step that blew him to bits?

And is Caroline turning into Bobby ?
