The significance of John Kelin's Fair Play website to the searches for deep political truth and justice within study of JFK's murder cannot be overstated.

So too the value to our work of John's Praise From a Future Generation, a book-length history of the first generation of JFK researchers.

And if it matters to anyone hereabouts, John is a connoisseur of jazz.

It's heartening indeed to see links to the Fair Play archive on DPF's cyber-pages.

I saw some wonderful photos of various jazz players shot by John. Fantastic stuff. Interestingly we both like Jello Biafra too Smile

Great that we have all these. Lots of reading. Has John been invited to join? (Or if he is a member he does not post much). Loved his book.

Yes, Dawn, he is a member here. I am a FB 'friend' too. Recently on FB he was saying that he had got 'JFK out of his system' , I am paraphrasing here, with the last book so maybe he is feeling a little burned out or over it all or just wants to move onto other areas of his life like jazz. Which is understandable.

I am friends on fb with him too. He is also going through some personal issues.
How, I wonder does, someone get this case "out of (her) system"? I'd like some of what he's having. Alas...

Hi all,

First, thanks for all of the kind words.

I'm glad to know Fair Play is still out there. Deanie Richards archived each issue during its active period, but I haven't heard from her in years.

It's a little jarring to see some of my words come back to haunt me. I seem to recall the comment that I'd gotten JFK out of my system, but don't remember the context. Temporarily burned out is more accurate.

But...personal issues? I wonder how that impression came about. My marriage is stable, my mind relatively so. (That's self-mockery!) Still waiting for the economy to turn around, along with a few million others...

Since it's come up, I invite everyone to check out my jazz pictures.

I built the site, and it's best viewed through Safari or Chrome. Even though I got the HTML to validate, the site is a mess viewed through IE. I can't figure out why.

I've also been keeping a blog. It is deliberately weird. I write whatever I feel like writing; there are a smattering of JFK-themed posts.

Please excuse the self-promotion. Hope it isn't a violation.

Hi John, Lovely to see you here by the way :wavey:, it was in the comments section on a post you made about your Detroit photos. Some one said that they had read your book and loved it and there may have been an inquiry about more to come, I can't recall. Given the amount of time and energy you have given to the case over the years it is not surprising that burnout is reached. I have seen it send some researchers quite batty though some start out that way too.

John Kelin Wrote:Still waiting for the economy to turn around, along with a few million others...
Yep. Been waiting for at least 35 years for that.

Thanks for the links and we are more than happy for the promotion. Feel free to cross post here any thing you think relevant too.

Thank you, Magda.

For what it's worth, I just posted something on my blog that may be of some interest here. It is not the product of research, however; better to call it a flight of fancy. It's actually adapted from something that I put on Fair Play long ago.
