Another in the endless mass shootings in USA - this time Denver
It is questionable if Holmes himself build the explosive devices in his flat - or if he did whether or not he had been led by the hand in doing so, or mind controlled. It is hard to imagine that someone who was studying neurology and neurochemistry would pick up advanced bomb-making skills. Less so in the last few months we are told he had gone 'strange' by his psychiatrist. Even on the internet, where bomb-making booklets are available, they are not usually very sophisticated and take practice [multiple tries] to get it 'right' or highly sophisticated. Second, putting explosives in one's own flat, while it does endanger whoever enters or those who live in the building is not exactly an IED [as in war zones] to attack the opposition's vehicles. The current government (sic), however, will use anything, twist anything, create any false-flag events in order to bring about a rapid police state and total clampdown on civil liberties and freedoms, IMHO. I still smell a rat in this whole 'event'....there are many reasons for this, but the icing on the cake has to be the package with the notebook....these clowns don't even use new ways to set up their patsies! They use the same tired old methods they used before.

Remember how soon we "learned" that any future Underwear Bombers could be stopped by a wonderful technology that sees through clothing? Answer: the next fucking day. This one is going to be a tougher sell.

This whole booby trap,IED,sophisticated or advanced bomb making proclamations are to me just pure bullshit.Look, the guy puts like 40 booby traps/with trip wires in his apartment.Sorry, that's about as un-sophisticated as one could get.In fact,it's totally "cartoonish",and something that a mentally deranged person would conceive of.It's nuts........

You do have an obvious point there. While [let's pretend Holmes was the shooter AND the bomb maker] he would be sure the Police would come to his apartment - so what. If he wanted to do the maximum damage [biggest bang for the buck - and he shelled out mucho bucks, apparently], it would not be placed in his apartment, but someplace more public - as Breivik did. Yes, why put so much sophisticated work and chemical to possibly kill 1-5 policemen and maybe a few others in the building. If the official scenario is to be believed [I don't believe it, but....] he was out to kill hundreds and hundreds. Six thousand rounds of ammo! The same chemicals at a shopping mall or sports stadium etc. would have done more damage than the few hapless Police coming to investigate his room. Nothing fits in this saga...like all the others of the same ilk.

HNC's Military-Industrial Context

By Phyllis D. James of Synthetic Thinking
James Eagen Holmes' interest in synthetic thinking, more commonly known as artificial intelligence, was handed down to him by his father, Robert Milton Holmes, Jr., who worked for HNC Software, a company which went public in 1995. HNC was acquired in 2002 by Fair Isaac Corp (now FICO). Research into this company for which the Aurora shooter's father worked after leaving the military is quite fascinating.

News organizations seek Colo. shooting documents in court

Aug 9, 2012 6:56am

(NECN/NBC News: Leanne Gregg) - In Colorado, the man accused of one of the worst mass murders in U.S. history will be back in court Thursday, while attorneys argue about the release of information in the case.

Twenty-four-year-old James Holmes is accused of opening fire in a crowded theater in the Denver suburb of Aurora, killing 12 people and injuring 58 others.

Attorneys will weigh the public's right to information about the case, and how release of that information could affect justice as James Holmes faces more than 140 felony counts in connection with the July shooting rampage.

During this court appearance when James Holmes was read his rights, Judge William Sylvester issued a sweeping "gag" order.

Thursday, attorneys representing 25 media outlets, including NBC News, will argue that information about his case is too tightly controlled.

Judge Sylvester's ordered that information regarding Holmes and the investigation be sealed. Documents likely include clues about events leading up to the shootings, including the suspect's mental state, a key factor in the case.

And that lawyers, law enforcement and anyone involved in the case can't talk about it publicly.

The University of Colorado where Holmes was a neuroscience graduate student is also banned from releasing public records relating to his year at the college.

"It's the unusual high profile case that causes problems for the court.. And judge Sylvester's response? Shut down the flood of information that goes to the public. Of course when you shut down a flood, often what you get is leaks," said Legal Analyst Scott Robinson.

A motion filed by media attorneys say, "the public has an obvious and legitimate interest in knowing on a timely basis the actions being taken by the government officials, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors and judges responsible for the investigation, prosecution and trial of the defendant."

Holmes' attorneys will argue that disclosure would compromise the investigation, taint a jury pool and endanger justice.

Leaks about the case have led to confirmations that Holmes had been seeing a psychiatrist at his university before the rampage and that he sent her a notebook that detailed his plans for the attack. The psychiatrist reportedly told university officials she had concerns about Holmes.

An internal investigation is underway and the university has hired attorneys to represent the psychiatrist and a campus police officer.

In Aurora, where the nightmare unfolded, students are back in class. Schools re-opened Monday.

They are re-establishing routines, but, three weeks after the massacre, nowhere near, "back to normal," as the legal process moves forward.

Unlike Holmes' first court appearance, no cameras will be allowed Thursday.

It is unknown if Judge Sylvester will rule on easing the gag order during Thursday's hearing or issue his ruling at a later date.

Holmes is being held without bail here at the Arapahoe County Justice Center.

A second operative in shooting ignored by police
From: Brasscheck TV <news@brasschecktv.com>

"All the evidence we have, every single indicator
is that this is all Mr. Holmes activity, and that he
wasn't particularly aided by anyone else."

So says the policeman, who wasn't in the theater.

However, the news media interviewed several
EYEWITNESSES that say otherwise.

For your consideration...

You have a point there! The logical extension would be he was generally aided...but I think along with bad English grammar and syntax what the Policeman's thought behind his tortured English was..."we're not particularly going to tell you about, nor investigate the leads on anyone else who may have aided him..."
