For the links and for the link to search the incomparable Mr. W's files.
Read not to contradict and confute;
nor to believe and take for granted;
nor to find talk and discourse;
but to weigh and consider.

Wow Tracy. What a treat to see all these issues of Clandestine America. I was in law school during HSCA and my ex boyfriend AIB co-founder and member Harvey used to send me these. It was my lifeline to the hearings.
Lovely that Weisberg saved them. I have some, but have moved so many times since those heady days and much has been lost. I'd love to see Probe here too but that is Jim's call.

ps When Carl Oglesby was writing on this subject in 1992 he was also having some serious medical issues, and had come under the spell of Robert Blakey. It was very sad for me to see my dear friend suddenly spouting "Mob did it" bullshit. His medical condition was affecting his once beyond- great intellect. He did recover and in the years before his untimely death he no longer embraced the Mob views of Prof. Blakey.

I'm glad they've scanned Weisberg's files, but I wish they were organized a little better. Oh well, we can't have everything.

As for Oglesby, his YANKEE AND COWBOY WAR made it clear that he considered the "Mob" to just be one of the factions of the whole shadow government. I used to argue with Robert Harris that the "Mob" is not some organization completely separate from the rest of the government/corporate world/national security state.

Yankee and Cowboy war was such an important book. Only got one printing.
Back in 06 Simkin at the Ed forum was scanning it so that it would be free to all. With Carl's permission and approval.
Sadly he ceased about one third into the project.

The source for Dulles' quote "But nobody reads. Don't believe people read in this country. There will be a few professors that will read the report…" is from Tad Szulc, The Warren Commission in its Own Words, New Republic, 9/27/1975:
