Committing suicide in this way strikes me as highly, highly unlikely, as it also did in the case of MH370. Clearly it is not impossible, but it so completely out of the ordinary that I am disinclined to believe it without a great deal more evidence being presented.

Officers refused to reveal details of the potential breakthrough but said it was not a suicide note. Speaking outside the flat on the outskirts of Dusseldorf, police said they had 'found something' that would now be taken for tests, adding it may be a 'clue' as to what happened to the doomed jet."

The rapid release of 'information' on this case is unusual. It seems to be both pressure from the airlines to calm all potential passengers and due to differences in French law when criminal action as the cause of an accident occurs. There was also a huge unauthorized leak to the NYT by someone within the investigation who shouldn't have done so - it was criminal act, if not one that will have great consequence, IMO. Now, the Germans are also breaking with usual protocol and giving big hints....all very strange...not sinister, but strange. I would also note that more 'grief' is being expressed in the media IMO over the loss of life for mostly Europeans than was shown when planes full of mostly Asians were lost.

Oh, yes, one more unconfirmed, but easy to find rumor - he might have just broken up with his boyfriend! [with which he sometimes lived and was seen being escorted away by the Police] .....the early release [by police and officials] of information/rumors/speculation is very strange.

Yet one more bit 'o speculation - that he was a body-building type who took lots of anabolic steroids, and they have been known to sometimes lead to psychological breaks.

OK, I find this very hard to believe/unlikely [especially given its obvious anti-Muslim diatribe] - but just to keep everyone informed of the latest gossip/disinformation afoot - sit down and fasten your seatbelt for this one...

A German news website claims Andreas Lubitz was a Muslim convert.

One can bet that the apologists (media, politics, "Islamic Scholars") will agree to assign this an act of a "mentally unstable" man, and you can bet that now, once again the mantra of how supposedly peaceful Islam is will continue. And worse still, the attacks by the left against those who have always warned against Islam, will be angrier and merciless.

For now the German Islam supporters like never before have their backs against the wall.

OK, the above now seems to have been disinformation, as I thought - but where it came from should be 'interesting'. I reset it in Comic Sans.

Now, some new 'hard' evidence. An official release by the German Police and Authorities on the 'items of interest' seized from the co-pilot's home[s] (he lived with his parents some and had his own flat too). It is in German [attached] if someone wants to give a precise translation. I read it to say that he had a medical condition [they do not name] that would have absolutely prohibited him from flying. He failed to report this and went on the flight - perhaps other earlier flights. They seem to feel the nature of the illness more than his failure to report it and fly links in with his later alleged actions; and they will have more to say when they complete analysis and gather more information on the illness, and him.
