Jay's Analysis
#7
Thanks for that too.

I have to say that I am a little sceptical about Jay Weidner. This, in part, arose many years ago when I read the book he co-authored with Vincent Bridges, "The Mysteries of the Great Cross of Hendaye: Alchemy and the End of Time". I have carefully read and re-read all of Fulcanelli's books (which is to say "both" of them) as I have been fascinated with both for a great many years, and have managed to decode large portions of them - for personal consumption only.

So when I read their book and found they were peddling an end of time scenario set to the apocalypse and suggested that the Hendaye Cross was a cipher pointing to a redoubt in Per - which they coincidentally claim was the legendary site of Atlantis - well, I was sceptical to say the least. And more so after the prescribed date of the apocalypse came and went without the expected cataclysms and end of life on this planet. In any event the book and prior and subsequent disputes caused a dispute between both authors with accusations of financial impropriety and fraud being flung around (see: Cassiopea Org)

A week ago, I wrote to Jay Weidner about his analysis of the film Inception and comments he made about Jung - with the intention to further discuss what I regard as obvious conflations and confusions he demonstrated in that analysis about Jung and Freud. For example he uses the term "subconscious" when speaking of Jung, but this is a Freudian term. Freud broke of his relationship with Jung because of Jung's concept of the Unconscious which was completely opposed to Freud's concept of the subconscious, so the conflation/misunderstanding is material and of consequence.

Anyway, I haven't had a reply from Jay Weidner so I guess my pending questions will remain pending.

having said all that I do find some of his film reviews and analysis interesting and informative, but regard others as fundamentally flawed and drawn from a misunderstanding of both Qabalistic principles and Jungian psychology.

I'll now bugger off....
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
