I think you meant to say there are heretical factions within the Sunni and Shia (such as the wahabbies) - labelling them heretical factions themselves counts for over 1 billion people ::rofl::
No, Danny, I meant what I said. Both the Shi'a and the Sunni (or at least many of their members) see the other faction as "heretical," or at least as close to that concept as they can approach without violating their own precept against expelling other Muslims. You will notice the quotes I put around the word "heretical" in this paragraph and in the original quote. I'm not calling anyone a heretic, just repeating the labels I've heard, and seen, some Muslims toss at each other.
