I'll raise a third glass of whiskey to that! Someone who knows which side of the 'bread' the 'butter' and intelligence creeps are on! I'll also second the suggestion all look into Tony Posephny.

NB - Shackley apparently [or so I was told] had some hand in the destruction of the book project I was working on [about the covert career of T. Plumlee], and perhaps some of the many 'problems' I encountered thereafter.....which led to loss of all my funds, things, manifold legal problems, a period of homelessness, inability to get the most humble of jobs, etc. Glad he'd dead.

By chance, I was on a Greek island beach once and next to me was an American playing guitar. We struck-up a conversation and spent the next few days talking about Shackley and [what else] women. He was the man who wrote the modified limited hangout book on Shackley - David Corn. Life is strange....and the deeper one goes into deep political research the stranger it gets!..... Tony Poe is way 'out there!' Shackley was WAY, W A Y out there!!!!!!!! I know covert operatives who knew and worked with him who still won't say a word in response to a question about him. Even in death he 'lives' and can threaten.
