I've long been a student of Ancient Egypt, and much enjoyed my past trip down the Nile to most of the major and some of the minor sites. I had no problems [this was many years ago] other than petty ones. I'd be afraid to go again now, though I'd love to. It is just another repressive military government without rule of law or safety/freedom for Egyptians or visitors. Of course, it is supported by the USA and applauded by Israel and most all of Europe. These countries claim to support democracy and other democratic states...but actually support neither. Another successful overthrow of a People's movement for some freedom from tyranny........one of many.
