IN the past I have seen highlights of parts of the Eurovision song contest on the news and in passing. But this year I actually did watch Eurovision the other morning as I happened to be up at the time. I found it very strange in several aspects. Primarily as to why was Australia (and Israel) in EUROvision contest at all. I also thought the songs for the most part were just pretty boring bland US style pap pop and almost all in English. And I did think the songs were meant not to be 'political' and yet look what won!. A very overtly political song. What will we see next year? I don't think it will be a song about the Banderite and Cossack collaboration with the Nazis murdering the local populations. Nor the more recent holocaust at the trades hall in Odessa by US backed and funded neoNazi criminals. I doubt I will ever watch it again because I have better things to do with my time and it has obviously morphed in to some thing else than it was intended to to be from its origins namely a mouth piece for Empire.
