Chlorpromazine is that hypnotic that causes memory loss iirc. Side-effects include personality dissociation, if it's what I think it is.

Cameron was attempting to destroy memory to create a tabula rasa - a blank brain - that he could then programme to produce a model and compliant citizen (aka sheep).

Cameron was using the crude tool of ECT, which is actually rather disturbing for the medical staff utlizing it. Unless they're sadists and powerfreaks...

Chlorpromazine is Thorazine (or Largactil in Europe). Thorazine was a major MK-ULTRA drug. It was also found in copious quantity at Jonestown.

Chlorpromazine largely replaced electroconvulsive therapy, psychosurgery, and insulin shock therapy. The development and marketing of antipsychotic drugs was one of the forces that propelled deinstitutionalization, which is the systematic removal of people with severe mental illness from institutions like psychiatric hospitals. In 1955 there were 558,922 resident patients in American state and county psychiatric hospitals. By 1970 the number dropped to 337,619; by 1980 to 150,000; and by 1990 between 110,000 to 120,000 patients.

It can therefore be argued that Chlorpromazine/Thorazine/Largactil is a form of chemical ECT.

Not proof. But mighty interesting research to be conducting at the same medical institution where Ewen Cameron - like some hubris-filled deity - is running amuck, with official approval, using ECT to "depattern" the human brain.

Once the human brain has been transformed by Shock Therapy into a tabula rasa, then it needs to be reprogrammed.

FORTRAN is a computer language, not a progam. It stands for FORmula TRANslation, was state-of-the-art in academia (especially math, computer science, statistics) and business for many decades until mid-70s. After 1977 it delcined and was practically dead by 1986, soon to be followed by COBOL. COBOL's last gasp was the Y2K scam.

It's probably a coincidence but another Latvian was mentioned recently on the forum in connexion with the Indio, California base and Customs. I think his name was Vidnieks, also spelled Vidniex.

I'm going to dig through boxes of old magazines and try to find what the Economist wrote about Vaira Vike...
