The familiar, depressing pattern:
* Alleged shooter(s) dead, can't explain or defend themselves
* 24 hour emotion-based news coverage, endless speculation, national security experts come on and talk about blah blah blah
* Leaks from anonymous police/FBI sources and media coverage form our narrative of the event
* Within hours, everyone with a political agenda is on the march (War on terror, gun control, whatever)
* Rinse, repeat
