Here is some information I found at that other place, anyways, for the record, there was no group called "Zero," secondly, the story I get from folks about Torreient's assassination is that he was shot while watching TV, that's not true either. Jose de la Torriente was shot around 9:00 PM while he was lured outside his home by someone Torriente knew from another group. I will give you details no one knows that were never released, four shots were fired at Torriente, two of the shots hit Torriente in the [back] and one in the [throat], one [missed] and hit his house.
Torriente lived for 81 minutes, he would then die at the hospital, Torriente had gone to the FBI three days earlier and informed them that the Cubanos Unidos had been supporting their raids into Cuba through drugs, when the FBI had questioned Edwin Kaiser about this, Kaiser had denied the group was involved in drugs, three days later, Torriente was shot dead.
