Difficult one that.

For my money the bold-faced paragraph is accurate, as is the spook refrain that it emulates. The difficulty is in what it does NOT say; which is that, in so far as such an atrocity is judged to be an event that would assist the Deep State agenda, by the arbiters of that agenda (namely the spook-masters themselves), any such atrocity will most certainly be provoked, organised, facilitated and generally made to happen, BY the spooks themselves.

If NOT so judged, then the likelihood that any group of 'Angry Young Muslims' will ever be able to seriously plan - let alone pull off - such an atrocity without being interdicted by the spooks en-route so to speak, is vanishingly small. As anyone with half a brain must know by now, the British Muslim community is so deeply penetrated and compromised by both US and UK spook 'assets', that thay can hardly pass wind without it registering somewhere in GCHQ, Thames House, Vauxhall Cross or Langley, let alone ORGANISE anything.

I still have great respect for Pilger. He probably knows all this on some level, but there's no way even he can say it without being drummed out of town. He would certainly kiss goodbye to his New Statesman column - for what that's worth - which I guess is not a lot - but then he too has bills to pay eh?

Of mortgages and truth - now there's a topic! I suspect there's truth in that.

Alternatively, one can't help recalling the proverb - I forget the precise origin, Italian or Russian, I suspect - "A little truth makes the lie go down."
