David Josephs Wrote:The Drommer Plat has elevations based on a location at the top of Elm designated 100'. The spot is the Eastern most point on the Elm Street island.
JFK is at approximately 94.2' street elevation at z207 station 3+71.1 - per ce884
The top of JFK's head was 54.7" or 4.56' above street level
94.2 + 4.56 = 98.75' = elevation for the top of JFK's head
The top of the Zap pedestal is 101.2'
Zap's camera was approx 5.6' above this
101.2 + 5.6 = 106.8' elevation to Zap's camera lens
106.8 - 98.75 = 8.05' = elevation above JFK's head to camera lens
It's 111.6 feet from Zap to JFK at this point
It's 53.6 feet from Zap to the sign so we have a right triangle connection Zap's lens, and JFK's head
side a = 8.05'
side b = 111.6
side c = 64.8 + 12454.56 = 12519.36 square root = 111.9
Rise over run = 111.6 / 8.05 = 13.9' horizontal for every 1 foot vertical
53.6' from Zap to sign / 13.9' = 3.85' Line of Sight drop from Zap's lens to a point above the sign
106.8 (Zap lens) - 3.85' = 102.95' elevation for LOS above sign
Top of the curb at the sign is 92.6' elevation
The sign is 10 feet tall with a 4'x8' sign
92.6' + 10' = 102.6' if the sign begins at the curb... which it does not, it is less than a foot higher, but it is higher
Even if only .5 foot the sign elevation is about 103' elevation with Zap's line of sign passing the sing at 102.95'
JFK should disappear behind the sign at approx zframe 207.
IMO the FBI is dealing with 2 shots very close together which they need to turn into 1 shot.
The pre-ce884 surveys all puts a first shot 12.2 feet further down Elm.
At approx 1 foot per frame this places a shot at zframe 220.
So, you're saying the dude in the green shorts standing in the street would have been shot in the ass? Scratches my head, WTF?
