Why is the US Still Under A State of Emergency 16 Years After 9/11?

I will have a daily dose of "The Emergency (?) Supersedes the US Constitution" for $500. While I am not a fan of the body of William Cooper's overall work, his shortwave broadcast on 9-11 I saw the Peter Dale Scott article that David posted later mentioning John Yoo and an interesting fact I believe might be relevant to this thread as a corollary. From Christopher Simpson's most recent edition of 'Blowback' and I have confirmed with several other NARA scholars who worked on the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act mention that the Bush administration also attempted to set him up on the committee overseeing the process. This of course eventually got derailed by several of academics on board and eventually resulted in a significant number of them resigning or having other academics who were not as stringent the originals.

Nathaniel, would you mind going into more detail on this please? I have always been extremely cautious of William Cooper, so any new light you can shed on him would be of interest.

I too would like to hear the details and references to this. I did get some NARA documents via the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act and interacted with some on the group inside of NARA for a limited time. Other documents that must exist were said not to exist. Of course, had Yoo been there less would have been revealed. As it is lots was released, but the mandate and funding ran out and the process inside NARA was thwarted by CIA and other Agencies. Many, many more documents should have been released and still should be. No chance under the current climate.
