Fake news for the win

Here is a beautiful example of junk news infesting the alt-media. When the Chris Steele-Trump dossier was first leaked by Buzzfeed in January 2017, Trump fans (possibly encouraged by Russian troll-bots), claimed it was all a hoax invented by 4chan trolls. Essentially it was fan fiction that went viral, then picked up by John McCain and given to the FBI. They got punked by 4chan! LOL, so funny. Except that the 4chan "hoax" was itself a hoax. They even created fake pages that didn't belong to the real dossier.
