Yes, although my first thought was ancient Egyptian as in the Tutankhamun death mask (although that was blue and gold rather than blue and white). But given the biblical background of the Israeli's coming out of Egypt...

Lapis Lazuli was revered by the ancient Egyptians and was used on protective amulets to ward off evil etc (see HERE). It remains a precious stone used in occult ceremonies today. Crowley really was into it in a big way. He wrote Liber Liberi vel Lapis Lazuli (HERE). But, as we know, he was a very fucked up magician.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
