The impression I have reading this piece is that it hides more than it reveals.
In other words I suspect - but have no evidence for this - that Blackwater may have been far more deeply involved in "wet" stuff than that stated to have been taking place in Afghanistan. And that the whole row has been been outed with the knowledge of the participants that these aspects can never be brought out in the open.
My mind slips back to the Vietnam War era when in-country dirty work had an even deeper and darker US domestic political agenda (according to some reports anyway).
I was responsible for bringing Buzzy Krongard to the attention of deep political researchers (re the 911 insider trading story) following my investigations for "Project Hammer Reloaded" which detailed Krongard's implied involvement in a shady financial transaction initiated by a San Diego firm called Vanguard Capital - who were acting in association with serving and former South African intelligence agents transacting business on behalf of the Government of Argentina.
These associations suggested to me that Krongard may have had a prior CIA affiliation (perhaps going back to his Marine office days?) even before George Tenet hired him as his "Counsellor" in 1998. Project Hammer was very extensive and involved lots of black funding and all sorts of intelligence activities including assassinations.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
