Honor is due, Jim, for the J. C. King ID and the "fallback patsy" acknowledgement -- whether or not King so qualifies.
I cannot trump your first-hand experience with the Holt brood, so I'll remain silent and be thought the fool.
To my knowledge Phillips inherited (operational control of) the Western Hemisphere -- if you'll excuse the warranted hyperbole -- from King and his masters, the Rockefellers.
This view of King is lifed from Thy Will be Done -- which remains essential reading for all of us. I don't have any others, but that's why God made James Richards.
Another word about the "fallback patsies" notion: You are in harmony with the Evica/Drago JFK conspiracy construct hypothesis when you reference the great depth of the doppelganger element in all of this.
Buy a suit at a high-end haberdasher. Step up to stand within the mirrors.
So many images.
But guess who pays for the shmata?

If an individual, through either his own volition or events over which he had no control, found himself taking up residence in a country undefined by flags or physical borders, he could be assured of one immediate and abiding consequence: He was on his own, and solitude and loneliness would probably be his companions unto the grave.
-- James Lee Burke, Rain Gods
You can't blame the innocent, they are always guiltless. All you can do is control them or eliminate them. Innocence is a kind of insanity.
