Jack White Wrote:Very informative essay. But I disagree on at least two points.
1. The THEORY of evolution, as commonly presented, is false.
2. Use of the term FOSSIL FUELS is based on a false theory that somehow DINOSAUR CORPSES became what we now call petroleum. Coal and peat
CAN be called fossil fuels, since they are provably decayed plant matter.
It is known that petroleum is found in the arctic areas, and I doubt that dinosaurs could survive the arctic temperatures. It is known that petroleum
is abundant under oceans which predate the dinosaur age.
The deepest oil well ever completed was over 8 miles deep through solid rock. How did dinosaur oil get 8 miles deep? I believe that unknown processes within the earth act to produce petroleum, in much the same way that some process within the earth creates diamonds. Under my theory, petroleum is being produced even now, and always will be.

I agree, very informative essay. But Jack so what if petroleum is and can always be produced? That does not solve the problems created by the use of such fuel. I remember the big movement in the 70's for solar power. I also remember Barry Commoner- considered the father of the modern day enviornmental movement- predicting that solar power would never come to pass becaue "no one can own the sun".
