Have a look at the commitment to openness and freedom of speech they have over there. No doubt it will be said to be over my 'avatar' the original which was put up by Simkin himself and there was no complaint from him over that one. Why would he put it up otherwise? The whole issue of the 'avatar' and rule compliance is just being used as another form of censorship there. Everyone knows it. Everyone also knows how selectively the rules are applied too.
For many months one of our founders not wanting to be associated with the place was sending emails asking for his posts to be removed and all emails unanswered and they were left there untouched for months and now they totally disappear all of Peter's many years of work and effort there, some 5,500 posts. It was a resource for everyone else too. And all those who contributed to the threads. All gone and not a word. So much for a commitment to the lofty ideals of collegiality and scholarship openness and freedom of speech. And they say we are totalitarian and not open. :flute:
No more from me on this. Their actions speak louder than my words could ever hope.
