Judyth Vary Baker: Living in Exile
Bernice, I doubt that I have ever breathed a negative opinion about
you over all the years we have known each other, but you and Jack
are way off base here. I have asked Jack if he has had any military
experience and I take for granted that you have none. For someone
to place their hand over the barrel of a rifle is a nice way to create a
hole in their hand, in case it has not crossed your mind. You and he
can take pleasure in the post about the dig, which LOOKS LIKE it is
a fake newspaper BECAUSE IT IS A FAKE NEWSPAPER, one of those
kinds of memorabilia that students sometimes create to celebrate a
joint accomplishment, as Judyth has explained in my last post. As a
former Marine Corps officer who supervised recruit training and who
knows something about the subject, I would observe that no one who
has undergone weapons training would treat long guns in the fashion
shown in the "hunting photo" (which appears to me to be a complete
fake, where the face does not even appear to be of a real person and
the casual hold on the weapon is wrong) and the second (where he has
his left hand over the barrel) would only be done by a Marine if he was
faking a photo because they were grab-assing or horsing around. You
can take this any way you want, but Judyth is displaying more ability
to sort some of these things out than older hands, such as Jack, who,
so far as I know, has not only taken the "hunting photo" seriously but
used the "passport photo" as one basis for the existence of "Harvey &
Lee". Judyth's analysis of that photo appears to me more competent
than that of Jack White, which simply astounds me. Her ability at JFK
research, as I have observed before, is better than that of 95% of all
students of JFK, in my experience, and far better than that of most of
her critics. You and Jack are far off-base and underestimating Judyth.
