I agree. Chomsky may not care about the Kennedy assassination and he must have his own reason for doing so. This does not mean that he is a CIA asset, left gate-keeper or any other label people want to attach to him just because he disagrees with their point of view.
The sad reality of this issue is that while many believe that a conspiracy took JFK's life, not many really care enough to do anything about it. Perhaps the reason why they do not care is that he died 47 years ago and most people have forgotten about it. If most academics have ignored this issue, it does not necessarily mean that they accept the Warren Commission's conclusion, what it could mean is that they have other issues that they believe are more important.
