Quick, send out some US agricultural extension agents! The war just got serious.

It sounds like chemtrailing. If it's fungal, and only affecting poppies really, the problem might be poppy monoculture. Likely the Taliban government in Afghanistan did serious damage to genetic diversity within the crop through eradication measures.
